About the Author

Louis Tracy (1863-1928) was a British journalist and prolific writer of detective fiction. Tracy is best known for creating the characters of Reginald Brett, Barrister Detective and police Inspectors Furnaux and Winter. He collaborated on several works with fellow writer M.P. Shiel, with whom he shared the pseudonyms Gordon Holmes and Robert Fraser.
