About the Author

Dr. Ajay Kumar Upadhyay born at District Azamgarh and did his pre-graduation schooling at Prestigious S.K. Inter College, popularly known as 'Khatri Pathshala' of Alalhabad that has a very rich galaxy of alumni. He did his graduation in the year 1986 from College of Veterinary Sciences, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Post graduation from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly and Ph.D. work back from the graduating institute. He served the Department of Animal Husbandry during the year 1990&1991 and joined as Assistant Professor in December 1991 at the Department of Medicine, College of Veterinary Sciences, Pantnagar. He became Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine in the year 2001. Now working as Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology. He is member of 11 professional societies and authored more than 5 books and 6 manuals. He has earned several honours and awards related with professional work and fellow of Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare.
