This story sets out to inspire people to have faith, to grow closer to a god, and to make good decisions so they can have a strong quality of life and not repeat some of the same mistakes that Shauna did. But it also chooses to inspire people with the tales of her triumphs. Shauna's voice was so strong in this story that at times I really felt like I was reading a non-fiction story.
