About the Author

Valerie Stocking is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut. She wrote her first story at age 5 and by the age of 8 had won a story contest. She has spent 30 years writing in various capacities, including over 20 plays that have been performed in cities around the U.S. and Canada. This is the first novel in her Samantha Kern series. She lives in Santa Fe with her two dogs and one cat, and is working on her next novel.
