Table of Contents

This fourth volume in the Advanced Information Processing Technology series brings together Japanese researchers working in the field of Lisp technology and reflects the growing interest in parallel and distributed processing. Divided into four parts, the book examines Lisp systems design and implementation in a wide variety of parallel and distributed computing environments. It presents papers on language features such as evaluation strategy for parallel symbolic computation and extension of first-class continuations for parallel Scheme systems. Finally, it considers the programming environment. Advanced Lisp Technology is a valuable compilation of recent research in these fields.
