Book is more of clinical reviews of some cases as managed and co-managed by clinicians in all the three levels of care viz:Primary, secondary and tertiary health care centres.Some of the cases were referred and interventions was good for more than 90% of the cases as their wrong diagnosis were corrected promptly and successfully.Some came too late for the correction to benefit them and either continued on the terminal illlness or died outright.The goal behind this review is not any witch hunting but rather, an effort to improve patients safety as well as optimize good management of cases.No identifying information for any of the patients or health facilities nor physicians were added for obvious reasons.The objective is pure academic exercise and has no legal undertones at all.Out of 12000 known disease in the data base of WHO, globally,23 cases were used to highlight the 4 different factors that contribute to the global misdiagnosis prevalence rate of about 15%, using a case controlled, retrospective study design. The laboratory scientists after running lab tests ,prescribe drugs based on sensitivity pattern, ignorant of the antibiotics trend available to physicians alone in studies. Pharmacists who conduct B.P checks and go ahead to prescribe drugs, for the patients in their offices , ignorant of some trends in treatment. Some of these are a few issues that need to be addressed for the well being of the patient to be good.Some dishonest healthcare providers out for maximum profit delay proper treatment, so as to pressure the patients to paying more,With an even fixed fee for services, such could be eliminated
