Undead and vegan? Not the afterlife this girl had planned.

Waking up thin is one thing. But waking up gaunt, hangry, and undead makes for a very bad day. Mallory's killer better hide, because she's just discovered blood, meat, and dairy don't agree with her, and a future with no cheese is grim indeed. She's out to find her killer...and maybe a vegan cheese that doesn't melt her nose hairs.

Click to see how Mallory conquers a killer hunger while hunting a deadly vampire.

This book had me laughing quite often. It is a fun ride down the crazy slide. It is not too gross or disgusting, just very tongue in cheek humor. I hope to read more.

A quick read and a new take on vampires. Nice to see a vampire story where a vampire survives on something other than blood (real or synthetic).

Mallory wakes up after an evening drinking with coworkers to find herself transformed into a vampire, but not an ordinary vamp, but one that cannot tolerate blood. How she learns to deal with her new life is the adventure .

AWFUL! This made no sense. Plus, why the hell would she allow herself to be used by her co-workers. Maybe I didn't give it a chance but it was so bad I couldn't continue.

This was quick paced fun book. Characters and story very descriptive. I was very sad that the rest of the series is not available on Nook, must get from Kindle.......not happy about this...

Even though this is a series I was hoping the book wouldn’t end. It is laugh out loud funny! I will be reading the rest of this series. I love the characters.

Witty Vegan Vamp with a LOVE for Coffee What if overnight your entire world was flipped upside down and for several days you were deathly ill. Everything about you changes in a matter of hours and you have no choice but to give in to the change. This take on the transformation into a Vampire; a Vegan Vampire at that-- is both detailed to the point of realism and hilarious. There were times that I laughed because her response to the stimuli was very much how I feel my reaction would be. Living in Austin myself, I can visualize the doctor office, South Austin Suburbs and even the minimalist downtown condo. If only there really were a supernatural society housed in South Austin and a very cool vamp that that flips houses. The hunk that she shadows is a major perk, i'm hoping more happens there in the future. Most of all, I loved Mallory's dry witty banter, and her love for coffee! She is SO three dimensional that I can put myself in her shoes and I look forward starting the next book in the series!
