Spoiler Alert: The crew swipes a device from the hands of a dead alien, when they managed to open and navigate the system they find themselves knowing more about human history in particular the lost city of Atlantis, on another occasion the crew glimpses old video stock of the roman empire at it's height. They are told the real reason for their visitation, to witness Earth’s momentous event… the birth of a new planet, the fisherman can’t believe earth is alive and female… ready to give new life.

In addition they are told a new city has been built upon it . . .
