Bored to death at his mall job, Brendon passes the time with a silly relationship quiz in the local magazine, Extra. But he's shocked to discover unique answers, insightful ideas, and a surprising number of things that sound perfect to him. Believing he's found his dream guy, Brendon does some online sleuthing to discover that the writer, Matthew Kingston, is not only perfect for him but also hot. Determine to meet his future husband, Brendon starts hanging out in all the places mentioned in the quiz, which luckily are some of his favorites. But when he actually meets Matt he's so determined to make sure Matt likes him that he pretends it's all happenstance and that he's never heard of Matt. I can't lie, Brendon's pursuit of Matt was a bit crazy but he redeems himself through his enthusiasm and his open and frank recognition that he made a mistake. He's just so earnest! At first, I thought Brendon was one of those characters who is in love with love but I quickly saw through that because Brendon is pretty honest with himself. Since All of the Above is told completely from Brendon's POV we really get into his head and understand why he does what he does. Part of what made this book so good for me was the acknowledge of flaws that both Matt and Brendon go through. People aren't perfect and we clearly see that with these two; they have flaws and they admit to them. Brendon was my favorite but I also liked Matt and his super romantic side. He has trust issues due to an ex so he's truly hurt by Brendon's secrets but he's also willing to give him a chance. I absolutely adored Matt's date book and it was just the sweetest and most romantic idea. Quinn Anderson is a master at cute and easy reads and I breezed through this one with Brendon's entertaining and goofy narration.

A light, funny, fun, and romantic read with the perfect blend of fluff and heartache. I loved watching these two realistic and fun characters get together, and I was rooting for them during every bump along the way. The epilogue had me in tears. I devoured this book in one sitting.

Cute, cute, cute! Quinn Anderson’s All of the Above was the first book I’ve read by this author. I actually passed it up the first run through because the cover didn’t catch my eye, but then I went back and read the blurb. Instant one-clicker material! Brendon is living day-to-day, working at a hair kiosk in the mall and going to school for cosmetology. One day he happens to pick up a local magazine and take a quiz. Lo and behold, all the answers the quiz maker lists pique Brendon’s interest. It’s settled then. The mystery man is Brendon’s soulmate. The problem? How to go about meeting him. This story delivered all the super cute and sweet vibes that I can’t even… Brendon was a gem. Though he’s kind of in a rut, he’s determined and looks at life with this wicked sense of humor that just had me cracking up throughout. I can’t remember the last time I got caught up in a character heart, body and soul. I love the whole structure of this story too. The quiz isn’t just the catalyst, it continues all the way through, and it was just hands-down such fun to read and really rounded out Brendon and Matthew. If you’re in the market for an adorable read that will leave you with butterflies and smiles then you’ll definitely want to read this book next! 4 stars!
