The story starts off well. They have not seen each other in 5 years, not since she left him to go explore uncharted planets, which was her dream. He almost hates her for leaving him. Since she has been gone, his life has gone downhill fast and now he is a criminal. He shoots her ship out of the sky (he doesn't realize it is her spacecraft) and so when they meet things are strained, obviously. Things start to get rushed once they arrive at the city. First, she is his captive and she is angry about it and then in the next moment she is helping him and his crew to not get arrested. When she finds out some of his past, she jumps to his defense and suddenly he is her consort. He goes from wanting to complete his mission to get off the planet to seducing her and playing the role of consort. It happened way too fast. This story could have been developed more, the conflict developed into something that could have made for more than a 91-page story. The wedding event and consequently the attack and heroics of Simon did add to the plot. How they came together afterward and won the chance to be together was romantic. I really did like that sequence of events. The middle of the story between them leaving the woods to the hatched plan to take place while everyone was at the wedding was the part that was rushed. I would have liked to see more development, to have their reunion prolonged a bit more. I enjoyed it, but it is a novella, so it has the rushed feel of a novella.

I was given a free copy of this book, and I am SO happy I read it. I really LOVED this book. Some people are born to be authors, and Erin Kellison is one of them. She writes with such soul and is able to communicate her ideas without with beautiful language that doesn't feel overdone or flowery...just real. There were several times when I found myself rereading sections of the book because I loved the way an emotion or reaction was described. One of my favorite lines from the book comes from a scene when Mica and Simon are seeing each other again after a long separation. "Her heart stalled as Simon strode toward her, as if remembering its previous Simon-inflicted injuries." What a beautiful way to express her trepidation over seeing him again!! And soon after Simon is trying to decide whether to keep her in handcuffs or trust her to walk freely. "Running wasn't what he was worried about. There was nowhere to run. She wanted freedom, something different from running." Amazing, emotion-filled story telling! I can not wait to read the next in the series. I hope it's a little longer.

Mica was going home for her sisters wedding. While getting ready and doing some heavy thinking she was shot down. Thankfully she had emergency supplies and started out on foot for the way station. Bare foot and in some pain but worried about being caught . Simon had no idea who he shot down until he found her tag . Leaving his team to make repairs he set off to find her. Little did her family know they were in danger as they prepared for Pilars wedding. This Sci Fi romance was a gift from the publisher for a honest review. I can't wait to read the next in the series I was kept on the edge of my seat with this one

All That Glitters is a fantastic quick read! The heroine, Mica, is a strong woman that sticks to her guns and doesn't let anyone push her around and Simon is a loveable male lead. I like how he goes from angry and revenge filled to the hero. I feel like this could have been a full novel with more world building and relationship building, but because it was a novella it was missing alot of that detail. However, don't let that detour you from reading this book, the story is still great and leaves you wanting more! Copy gifted by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I had read a number of books by this author before, but never sci-fi romance by anyone, so I was intrigued but didn't know what to expect. I'm glad I decided to give it a go. There is a great depth to the story and the characters. It is heavily science fiction based, but even readers who aren't dedicated fans of the genre would probably enjoy it. If you enjoy your romances swirled with any other sort of genre, give this a read. I received my copy in exchange for an honest review.

Title: All That Glitters Author: Erin Kellison Genre: Sci-Fi Romance Format: Ebook Pages: 95 Rating: 5 Heat: 4 Thoughts: This is the first sci-fi of Ms. Kellison's that I've read but it won't be the last. A very quick but engaging read. It was somewhat like a reverse Cinderella where the woman is the princess and the man is a lowly commoner, that's the only similarity though. This takes place on a completely different planet but like the real world, the rich get richer and the workers suffer while having to mine the riches for the elite. As usual, Ms. Kellison is able to tell a wonderful love story while ensuring there's enough detail to see this new world, all in what seems like just a few pages. I can't wait to read the next one!! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Conflict, action and romance! Step into the world of Sci-fi romance with this new series from Erin Kellison. An adventurous romance that reunites two people... an exiled miner and one of the planet's princesses. I loved seeing how within this short read, the author is able to build such amazing characters and storyline... Action packed right from the start... you get drawn into their journey. Entertaining! I am looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series! *copy given in exchange for an honest review.

I've greatly enjoyed being a part of the ARC team for EK and this new series certainly has the promise for another interesting ride. One of the nice things about the way she does novellas is she builds in back story so that the connection between characters isn't rushed; such is the case here. She does this while also managing to weave in intrigue, conflict, and a need to soothe past hurts/reconnect. Great start to a series.

Enjoyed this book. Sci fi is not usually something I read but this story is not so far out there that it is hard to follow as many sci fi books are. Once again Ms. Kellison has written an interesting story.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle: I was very excited to try the Sci-Fi Romance side of Erin Kellison's work. I have loved everything she's ever written to-date, so this was exciting for me. I generally really like SFR, and the blurb captured my attention immediately. She didn't disappoint. I loved the conflict of All That Glitters. Mica and Simon have an interesting history, and when they come back together, it's under even more unique circumstances. There are all sorts of unanswered questions about what the truth is on both sides, and their chemistry is undeniable. Erin writes very 'human' aliens, and a wonderfully techy world. Her world building was unlike anything I'd ever read in SFR and that was extremely refreshing. All That Glitters was a fast-paced read with plenty of heat and intrigue and I think that even paranormal romance readers would enjoy this one. The only thing I would caution for non sci-fi romance readers are the sci-fi terms. There are a lot of world-related terms for the terrain, technology, etc that Erin uses to properly set the scene in ATG, and it could potentially confuse readers who aren't used to that sort of writing. It's written very well and is set up wonderfully in context, it's just different than other sub-genres so if you're not expecting it, it could get distracting. I'm very excited to see what happens with Pilar, Mica's younger sister. *Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review
