"A fascinating and thought-provoking read!" September 8, 2010

Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) -

Vengeance only inspires more vengeance. "An Empty Sky" tells the story of neurotic trader Cecil Clemenzi as he digs his own hole of paranoia when he has a rival trader's daughter killed and soon finds himself on the opposite end of the revenge game. Fleeing and starting over are not things easily done, and makes "An Empty Sky" a fascinating and thought-provoking read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fast-Paced Ride, September 30, 2011

By Susan Schoenberger - Author of A Watershed Year

This review is from: An Empty Sky (Paperback)

The title proves prescient in "An Empty Sky" as the characters move past the initial storm-induced drama to a place where they seek clarity but often find emptiness instead. Author Frank Drury moves along the action with brisk dialogue and plotting as the story of Kevin Kepler, his daughter Virginia, and a rich cast of characters unfolds. I look forward to seeing more from Frank Drury.

About the Author

Frank Drury is the author of AN EMPTY SKY, published in 2010. Midwest Book Review called it “a fascinating and thought provoking read”. He spent the early years of his career as a struggling screenwriter in California before moving to the East Coast and finding success in the high risk world of futures trading, which is where he gained the inspiration for AN EMPTY SKY. He currently lives in Florida with his wife and daughters and continues to write fiction. A DREAM AWAY was his second novel, published in 2011. Midwest Book Review said, “Learning the value of family and what it all means.” Another reviewer wrote, “The reader will not welcome real life interruptions!” COLORED FLOODLIGHTS, is his third novel. Kirkus Reviews said, “While there are some action-packed scenes, this is a character-driven novel. The engaging writing style and the shifts in point of view mean the book flows swiftly along.” RANDOM SHOOTINGS is his latest novel. Goodreads says, "It's rare that a book can so poignantly capture the whole landscape of the issue at hand."
