About the Author

Ira Plonsker (1928- ) was born in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Chicago and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He returned to Chicago and for the next 50 years was a business executive and CEO of an electrical products manufacturing company. He is also the father of four sons and the grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Upon retirement, he decided to try his unfufilled ambition of writing a book, a novel, a fictional thriller. This book "An Unusual Man" combines his love of the United States, his patriotism, with the powerful problems of changing his life when in retirement and making a new life for himself. Mr. Plonsker lives in Southern California.
