About the Author

For the better part of thirty years, Hoosier born author/poet/songwriter/cartoonist Donald K. Goodpaster has had a long and successful run as an independent creative writer.

With the first of 33 adorable children's stories he has written, titled "Ginger," to his most recent work, titled, "Swandae's Great Adventure," his has been, as he describes it, "a ride of a lifetime I wish everyone could experience. I've been truly blessed."

From his early days as a contributing writer to one of the nation's finest Christian gift distributing companies, Messenger Corporation--a division of Renaissance Publishing, to an eight year run at Tennessee's own Dollywood Theme Park, Mr. Goodpaster has brought much joy to his readers.

He has been spotlighted on television and radio throughout his career on such programs as "Pulse Plus" in Tampa, Florida, and "Cincinnati Alive" with Greg Fraley and Robin Woods.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan was presented two of Mr. Goodpaster's Poems. Additionally, his work, "For Love and Honor" was chosen for its patriotic theme to adorn the "Veteran's Anthem" - a short film produced by Wes Herrick Productions and Cinemarr Entertainment.
