About the Author

Starleana Green was born on a military base near Memphis, TN, to a Brooklyn, NY native Marine Corps father and a beautiful mother from New Bern, NC. Raised mostly in NC and briefly on the west coast, she graduated from Havelock High School early in 2001 and continued to UNCG as her father wished. Despite a call to audition for American Idol in 2002, she completed her Bachelor’s in Communication Studies and later earned a Master’s in Public Administration.

In 2021, Star launched a non-profit to support single mothers and families with financial aid, embodying her belief that everyone deserves to "Live Life" beyond mere survival. As an artist, Star, aka Wonda Woman, debuted her single “Stop the Violence” in 2012, followed by tracks like “Go Down” and “Ready 4 War.” Her latest single, “Vibrate Higher” featuring P-Wonda, drops on 8/23 with a pre-save on 8/19, accompanied by merch and a book on the science behind vibrating higher, diary life experiences and personal growth.
