Overview

A woman and a man, a beloved couple, although seemingly mismatched, decide at seventy to take a trip on a nuclear icebreaker to the Arctic Circle. The woman, the main character and narrator of the story, takes us with her on the ship and guides us through her world — in the desert, in Saint Petersburg, inside the mind of a gorilla. She introduces us to her unique 'museum of the self,' the things that have shaped her so that the ultimate value of life for her is exploration. Geography lessons and magical words, cannibalism and matryoshkas, a zoo without bars on the moving ice, the interpretation of dreams under the influence of the midnight sun, everything confirms for the main character that existing is a miracle. When the icebreaker reaches the top of the world, the woman makes a mistake that could cost her dearly. Is there something that can save her?

Για το πρώτο της βιβλίο, Βορινή παραλία (Εκδόσεις Πατάκη, 2019), ήταν υποψήφια για το βραβείο πρωτοεμφανιζόμενου στην πεζογραφία του περιοδικού "Ο Αναγνώστης". Από τις Εκδόσεις Πατάκη κυκλοφορεί και το δεύτερο βιβλίο της, το μυθιστόρημα Αρκτικός (2024). Έχει ταξιδέψει σε άλλες χώρες, στο φεγγάρι, στο παρελθόν. Ενίοτε, κάνει τα ταξίδια της βιβλία.
