About the Author

Jane Armstrong is an experienced publisher and writer who has been associated with the Arden Shakespeare for many years. She is the editor of The Arden Dictionary of Shakespeare Quotations.
Jane Armstrong was born and brought up in North London. Her first encounter with Shakespeare was through music, at an early performance of Benjamin Britten's opera A Midsummer Night's Dream. She has worked on the Arden Shakespeare for a number of years, as copy-editor, and later as editorial series manager and commissioning editor. She is the editor of The Arden Dictionary of Shakespeare Quotations.
