About the Author

Dr. Hugo Munsterberg (1916 - 1995) received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and taught at Michigan State University, International Christian University (Tokyo), Bard College, and Parsons School of Design. His many books include Chinese Buddhist Bronzes, The Arts of Japan, The Ceramic Art of Japan, The Folk Arts of Japan, and Zen and Oriental Art.
