Auf'd (The Belinda & Bennett Mysteries, Book Two) by Amy Saunders

Lending a hand to a charity fashion show sounded like such fun. Now if only Belinda's idea of a good time included a smothered designer and trouble with Bennett.

While Belinda balances opening a business and a house reno, haute couture Portside-style lands her in one hot mess of runway intrigue and man drama.

It seems not everyone at this show is what they claim to be - or even who.

Drive-Bye (Book Three)
Overkill (Book Four)
Misfortune (Book Five)

This book is the second in a series, the third has not yet been released. I think its title will be DEAD HEAT. This book is 940 pages long. This is a mild, murder story, it is part romance, part mystery. There is humor, no sex, no cursing, no religion, a dab of kissing and the word" smirking " is overused. A lot of words are omitted, especially, "of, to, be and is." Their is used for they're rather consistently. I liked these two books a lot, They are a "gentle" type of book, lacking blood, guts, gore and rape. The murders are just alluded to, never described, other than he/ she was found pushed down the stairs, drowned, smothered or stabbed. That is all the murder details offered. The other worst violence is a hit to the nose, head or being pushed into the water. The characters are well rounded and act like real people. The emotions they have seem realistic. I wish they were human, because I would like them as friends.(except for whodunit!) There are some interesting twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. This book picks up where the first left off and both are stand alone books. These are chick books and 16 year olds as well as adults can enjoy them without being psyched out. Your time will not be wasted reading these novels. AD
