Baby Shark's Showdown at Chigger Flats
Baby Shark’s SHOWDOWN AT CHIGGER FLATS (Baby Shark series book #5)
by Robert Fate

In May 1960, after serving ten years of a ninety-nine year sentence, the murderer Walter Fairchild escapes from a Texas prison, and within days begins a killing spree. He swore he would murder everyone who had anything to do with putting him behind bars, and as the bodies start falling it becomes clear he is a ruthless man of his word. The Fort Worth private eye, Otis Millett, is at the top of Fairchild’s revenge list, and after several failed attempts to kill him, the Fairchild clan finally find success in kidnapping him.

This doesn’t sit well with Otis’ partner, Kristin Van Dijk aka Baby Shark, who begins at once to find and save Otis before he is tortured and killed. It turns out to be a difficult task, one that takes her into the badlands and oilfields of West Texas to a desolate hellhole called Chigger Flats.

This is the kind of action-adventure story the readers of the Baby Shark series have come to expect, including plenty of Henry Chin, and a new addition to the cast, U.S. Deputy Marshall Coit Bowden.
