Bang Bang is the story of Axton Abandanto and Amy DeLange, two best friends from vastly different Mafia Families. This is such an amazing love story that you can't help but be pulled in from the beginning. While you are reading the love story, there is also all of this action that is going on all around that doesn't interfere with the sweetness of the two finding their love for each other. Ax, being the alpha male that he is, doesn't play well with others and it definitely shows with his interactions with the other Eagle Elite guys along with Sergio. Amy, new to the group, seems to fit right in with all of the girls and her sense of humor is great. I loved the breakfast table scene. It was one of the best. Rachel definitely knows how to pull the reader in from Page 1 and keep you interested so that you don't want the book to end or put it down for any reason. She mixes all of the necessary components - romance, action, suspense and the all important humor - to keep you on the edge of your seat. The Eagle Elite Series has kept my attention from the first book and I don't know that I can say that for many series. Rachel's writing, no matter the genre, is entertaining and captivating. I'm thrilled to have read this story and just can't wait for the next book in the series to come out this winter.

Ax and Amy's story was cut short when they came and shot him; but luckily it was only an interruption, because he lived so that he could come rescue her from the hell her life had become. Great short story of Axton and Sergio's past which brings them into the fold of the Elect.

Great novella that not only sums up what has happened throughout the series so far, it also introduces new characters. I hope this series continues for a long time. Great job Rachel Van Dyken!!

I Flove, Flove, FLOVE this series! I say it with each review I leave. Rachel Van Dyken, seriously rocks my mafia-wanna-be world! Meet Ax. He was mentioned in the previous Eagle Elite novel, but you finally get to truly meet him. He's softer, yet still so mafia bad-ass. Ax is Sergio's little brother who you've met in the previous books. Amy was the girl next day, a De Lange, and Ax's best friend. Until two shots took that all away from them. Amy spent five years mourning the lost of her one true love and best friend. Until one night, in a strip club, Ax returns. You can't deny the chemistry between Ax and Amy. You want them to finally get their happily ever after after all they've been through. But, it's the mafia and nothing is easy. Throw in battling families and all of your favorite mafia men and their wives, and you have a great novella!! I can't wait for Sergio's book. Heck, I can't wait for Pheonix's book. I can't wait for more Eagle Elite! Bring it, Rachel!

This was a great novella to keep the Eagle Elite series alive! I can definitely say this is my favorite series. Although this is a standalone it definitely continues and includes the Eagle Elite. All the favorites are there! As much as this was easily understood without reading the prior books in the series... I completely recommend reading them to better understand and appreciate the story. There were a few errors but well written to counteract them. I cannot wait for more Eagle Elite!

I truely enjoyed this book. It surprised me it wasn't what I expected. However the love between Axton and Amy was both heart wrenching and heart warming. These families are kinda scary. Lol. You definitely don't want to cross them. I recommend this book to everyone. The series is great but you really should start from the beginning.

Rachel Van Dyken has taken the Mafia too a whole another level. Being cousin too the most powerful and youngest boss in the American Mafia can be good and bad. In this case it's bad. When the love of your life is from a family that is in very bad shape Axton, loves Amy,. But Amy is a Delange. The events that follow to them getting together waS FANTASTIC. The best part for me was that Badass Tex actually showed he has some sunshine in him

EEEK! I am so obsessed with this series it’s not even funny. Bang Bang was an amazing middle of the series novella. It catches people up from the previous books, making it so that new readers don’t absolutely have to read the beginning of the series. However, it also gives existing readers who have come to appreciate these characters, a chance to delve further into the Mafia without compromising the things they’ve fallen in love with. “‘Sleep.’ He kissed my head again. ‘I’ve got you.'” Bang Bang is the story of Ax and Amy – neither of whom we have come across previously. However, Ax exuded all the characteristics that readers have come to swoon over in the other men of the Eagle Elite. He is an alpha, stubborn male who loves to protect his woman – and he isn’t a fan of taking orders. Amy is an independent little firecracker, yet she was noticeably different than the other females of this series. While I love them too, they just have gotten to this point of strength and confidence with all their actions. Amy, however, had been through hell and back in her life and overcome obstacles nobody should have to face. Her strength shone through because of being influenced by these things, rather than facing a mafia member head on. Knowing what her father was into, she ran in the other direction and avoided the life until she didn’t have a choice. She also wasn’t afraid to have nothing, and in turn, got what she wanted most: family. The two of them together just felt special – I could honestly feel the tenderness and the angst through their interactions. I love a tale of friends to lovers and this really hit that sweet spot for me. The banter had me giggling at times, while the truth in some parts had my heart breaking. Naturally, I also fell in love with all the previous characters even more in this installment to the series (especially Tex)! “My life used to be defined by the sound of gunshots…and now? It was defined by sand sifting through the hourglass. I was powerless to stop it as it fell through my fingers.” While I recommend reading the Eagle Elite series as a whole, Bang Bang is a great starting off point if you don’t have the time. It does suck you in and you’re able to devour it quickly. However, let it be noted that there will be one MAJOR plot twist ruined if you start with this book. With both Elicit and Bang Bang, I’m feeling a new life being breathed into the series which just excites me further for the stories still to come. Overall though, I am absolutely loving the dark side of the family – maybe we all have a little bit of bad in us screaming to get out! ;)
