Vinnie Hansen's Black Beans & Venom Let’s take a trip to Cuba with PI Carol Sabala! An illegal trip!! Carol has been hired by a very wealth woman to track down her missing daughter. No one else will risk going to Cuba which is off limits for Americans. But against the bosses objections and her boy friends objections …off Carol goes. The book is intriguing with characters that are believable involved in a complicated plot that keeps you reading from start to finish. The characters are well drawn for the story with dynamic relationships. The author deals with many social issues: abuse, drugs, metastasizing cancer, chemotherapy, going to Cuba for cancer injections not available in the USA, dysfunctional family life, living with deceit, denial and disregard for authority. The story has danger, intrigue, mystery. a touch of romance and humor. I felt I was involved in what was happening throughout the whole story. You’ll enjoy reading. This book is part of the author’s Carol Sabala mystery series but can be read as a stand alone as I did. Thank you to the author for this eBook. My opinion is my own.
