Black Horse, Black Rider
Former resistance fighter and M16 agent, recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross from the United States, the Distinguished Service Order from England and the Croix de guerre from France, Henri is sought by the Nazis determined by torture and death to prevent him from testifying at the Nuremburg trial of three of the men who participated in the deaths of Henri's parents, older brothers and sister.
The authorities take 27-year-old Henri to Lothian Academy in Scotland to pose as a student/instructor to hide from his pursuers; however, his enemies find him, forcing him to fight for his life. He daringly dodges his pursuers through London (where he leads the Academy Team in an exhibit of horsemanship, including his performance of dangerous and thrilling Cossack riding tricks he learned as a child)and across Scotland.
A man of unbounded courage and honor, Henri Bolkonsky's bold adventures fly through the pages of Black Horse, Black Rider. The story follows the breathless feats of this Russian Prince as he dodges men who are determined to kill him.
Whether in hand-to-hand combat, daringly outwitting his enemies or aboard his powerful black stallion, your heart will race along with his.
As tender but passionate lover to the gypsy girl, Lita, or as guide to his fellow riding team members from the Lothian Academy through the drill in the ring or the delights of Russian royalty and his beautiful cousin, Carlotta, Henri moves through London as if it were his own to a stunning and emotional conclusion.
