About the Author

After writing seven previous books, Joe Smiga decides to write his first police thriller. He remembers the levels of police activities there were that occurred when the Boston Marathon bombing happened, in April 2013. He decides to include his expertise on terrorism with his eighth book. The novel begins on the busiest shopping day for the Christmas holiday season. It is called Blackest of Fridays. The first chapter opens the story in Natick, Massachusetts. This particular Black Friday will never be forgotten by those who live through it. Follow how the terrorists plan, execute their plans and leave a path of destruction in two major Massachusetts communities and then head to the Big Apple for a concluding attack. Discover how the local and state police deal with the attacks. Learn how the FBI becomes involved. Joe is now preparing to write a sequel to this book, which will affect the whole nation from the East Coast to the West Coast.
