Overview

Bouncy the Tennis Ball was very excited on the day of his first ever tennis tournament. But when one of the players accidently hits Bouncy over the tennis court fence, he finds himself stranded outside the court in a wilderness storage yard. Here, Bouncy meets a collection of discarded worn and unfriendly tennis balls led by Crew Cut. Fortunately, Bouncy is befriended by a wise elderly football, named Quarterbob, who promises to help Bouncy get back into the tennis court and into the game. Together, they embark on a daring adventure to escape from the yard, evading Crew Cut and his unwelcome 'baddie balls'. Only then, can Bouncy fulfil his dream of becoming a championship-winning ball.

Bouncy's 'First Great Adventure' is a story about the importance of pursuing one's dreams, as well as creating unexpected friendships. Even the 'baddie balls' become good at the end! Bouncy's story will appeal to all children and tennis fans of any age. Promoting reading skills, helping to develop a child's imagination, a desire for sports activities and exercise are all positive influences. This is the first of Bouncy's on-going exciting adventures. More stories coming soon...

About the Author

Bonjour! My name is Otto Graph and I am from Switzerland. I am a blue plastic felt tip marker pen. You have seen me at all the big tennis tournaments around the world signing the camera lens after the matches, as well as signing tennis balls for all the top tennis players and their excited fans. Originally, I come from a ‘magical’ pen factory located somewhere in the shadows of the Swiss Alps. Since my early years, life’s passions have been writing, reading and the wonderful sport of tennis. As well as being a nice shiny blue felt tip pen, I am also personal biographer to Bouncy the Tennis Ball. Bouncy kindly asked me to write down his exciting adventures, the first of which you might be holding in your hand and reading right now. You can catch me on Bouncy’s Website as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Au revoir - until the next time.
