About the Author

Author Karen Tucker calls BROWN LITTLE ME a "love letter" to the little girl inside herself who struggled with many of the same social issues children of color deal with today concerning identity, fitting in and self acceptance. Tucker, a studying esthetician specializing in the beautification, cleansing and preservation of the health of the skin, launches this book as the beginning of a movement to unite the school system, families, and the global community in the dire need to uplift, embrace and teach children of color about their skin and its beauty.
