About the Author

Valorie Falco currently teaches second grade in a suburban district outside Albany NY. She has taught in both special and regular education settings, including resource room, kindergarten, and grades one through three. She has been a language arts coordinator, a staff developer, and a literacy coach. Rochelle Soloway spent the first 25 years of her career in Australia, where she taught kindergarten through grade six. She was an administrator and curriculum coordinator in Victoria; more recently, she has served as a staff developer in New York City. She currently works as a literacy coach and staff developer in upstate New York.
