About the Author

Cindy Harris first served as a middle-school reading enrichment teacher in the Bronx, New York. With no teaching materials at her disposal, she and her students built a classroom library from scratch. She has also taught high school English and is currently teaching poetry-writing workshops to third, fourth, and fifth graders in New Jersey and writing educational materials. This is her first book with Scholastic.
