Overview

For many of us, home is a place of contradictions. Sometimes it provides us with immense joy and a deep sense of belonging. Other times it is a place of tragedy and shameful secrets that leave us feeling isolated and alone. After thirty years of sifting through both the comfort and the wreckage of his childhood home, Todd shares the profound feelings of loss and confusion that have reverberated throughout his life. At the age of twenty-two, Todd intentionally journeyed far from his mill village roots, thinking he could simply move forward and bury home. As life unfolded and led him through travels and adventures in strange lands, he realized that burying home was not a realistic goal. Upon embracing this fact, he discovered profound new realities that had been hiding in plain sight all along.
