In the years since she has studied butterflies intensively. She has taken thousands of photos of butterflies and plants while out wandering. She’s an active participant in the second Vermont Butterfly Survey and spends her free time exploring and studying the nature of Vermont. Kate’s indoor interests include woodworking, poetry, and training her dog to do useless tricks. She lives in Central Vermont with her partner, their German Shepherd, two cats and a small flock of chickens.
