About the Author

Shay Savage lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her family and a variety of household pets. She is an accomplished public speaker and holds the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster from Toastmasters International. When not writing, she enjoys spending her weekends off-roading in her bright yellow jeep, watching science fiction movies, masquerading as a zombie, and participating as a HUGE Star Wars fan and member of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers. When the geek fun runs out, she also loves soccer in any and all forms - especially the Columbus Crew, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich. Savage holds a degree in psychology, and she brings a lot of that knowledge into the characters within her stories.

What a great start to the trilogy!!!! What I was expecting was not what I received in this book. It was even better. I was expecting an overbearing Alpha Male not this sweet, caring, thoughtful man. Is he he still an alpha? Well yes he is but there was so so much more to him then just that. And along with every well written character you need their other half. There is this somewhat innocent girl who seems almost a little lost in the big city. Her story took some crazy turns. What you thought was a small town girl was in fact a girl from a very very small town cult type city. And wow does that town throw a curve ball into the story. Overall I loved the way the story developed. I loved that the relationship didn't get thrown into high gear on page one. It's a slow progression that makes you appreciate the relationship even more. Add That to the many things about Liam and Tria that are still untold and you have a great beginning to a story.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story that is told all in Liam’s POV. The story flowed very well. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak. This is Tria and Liam’s story. Liam is a fighter that has demons. Tria is trying to make is on her own. They meet when Liam protects her. They form a friendship that leads to more. Can they make something work with the huge differences in their past? With both of them having secrets and not telling each other everything can they ever make someone thing work? When Tria is called home to help her best friend she must explain to Liam the way they do things in her town. Will he understand? Or will he never understand what is about to happen? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. It was weird at first that it was all in his POV as I have not read many books like that. I highly recommend this book and this series.

stars except for the G-- D--- CLIFF HANGER! I'M JUST TIRED of authors not writing whole books......don't they know how? I have vowed not to buy these any more....but there was no clue. Don't get me wrong, this was a great story; I just can't stand the deceipt in it being presented as a whole book. Are cliffhangers just meant to get more $$$$$$? Well just write the whole book and charge more......if it is good it will sell. There was one book I purchased unbeknownst to me and it was a cliffer....the rotten author had another six books before an ending......I only bought done with this!!! So buy if you want to keep on buying as this was a very good tale!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. What a great read! This book is truly entertaining, but also has a lot of the dark side to life present through out. The characters were intricate and so dynamic; their chemistry was burning me, and I was only reading it! Shay Savage, has such a mastery of creating an intense situations, silly moments, and just plainly makes you look outside the box. She spun a great story, and I for one, need the next portion! What's gonna happen?!! Within this book we meet Liam Teague, a rough and tough cage fighter, with a long list of dark secrets; but he has a heart of gold. Liam has overcome so much, but still has a long way to go, but doesn't realise he is on a road of complications and adventure until he meets his new neighbor Tria Lynn. Tria Lynn, is out to make something of herself, but out run her past at the same time. Little does she know that the devilishly handsome neighbor, with the huge protective-streak, will change everything for her. Can Tria and Liam work through their past differences, all the extreme adversities, and all the complete and utter darkness from their past? Will Liam learn to depend on others, and to open up? And can Tria, create an identity all on her own, but open to accepting help from others? Their story is intense, is weary, emotionally gut wrenching, but so lovingly beautiful! Both characters were great, I would be friends with either of them! Each in their own way just spoke to me: the protective side of Liam, the soft nurturing side of Tria, and the complex sarcasm (the language of my heart). I especially LOVED all the insanely hilarious names Liam comes up for Tria's purse! Oh, I had my sides splitting from just the names. I carry a bag so similar, and can see both sides: her multi-tasking use of an over-sized bag; but also Liam's hilarious, totally male, weariness to woman's gigantic purses. What a great book, I cannot wait for the next edition to come out!

4 - I was never one... Stars! I quickly realized that Caged: Takedown Teague is something that I had originally read in part when Shay originally published it as Fan-Fiction, I don’t believe I ever finished it in that form, so it was good to get back into the story and read a bit more than before. The book is written in Shay’s inimitable style and as you would expect Liam’s head is an extremely entertaining place to be. I will be honest and say that the four star rating is wholly for Liam’s characterization, personality and inner monologues, because if I am honest, I didn’t really feel there was a lot going on in relation to the story-line, for the bulk of the book. ”Maybe it’s time for you to take a chance again.” Caged is definitely what I would call a slow burn, in that if you are looking for any major drama, a little angst or epic plot-twists, that is common-place for this author you are going to be in for a bit of a surprise. The main portion of this installment in the Caged series is the initial meeting, getting-to-know-you, and general relationship development between Liam and Tria. Yes both of them are sporting some pretty messed up pasts (Tria’s, I found particularly out there) but there isn’t a lot about any of that, apart from a few teasers, until the last 25% or so of the book. The whole thing was actually quite sweet, and although Liam could definitely win gold in the ‘Wanking Olympics’, the sexy-times are pretty thin on the ground, you don’t really get a huge amount of time in the cage either, but the general flow of the story pretty much evolves around Liam trying to understand why he is so intrigued and protective of Tria and her massive handbag, their day to day lives crammed into a tiny apartment together, and where a relationship between the two of them could go, if he ever manages to pull himself out of the 'Big Brother' / 'Friend-Zone' with her. She had promise. She had potential. I didn’t have shot. This really was the appetizer for me, and I have a feeling that the bulk of the action is going to be delivered in part two of the series; Trapped, Shay unusually has left this part of Liam and Tria’s story at a pretty big cliff-hanger, and now that the building and development of their relationship has got to a certain point I am interested to see what direction it goes, and whether the issues from both of their pasts have any effect detrimentally or otherwise on the fragile future they are starting to carve out for themselves. All is most definitely yet to be revealed! ARC generously provided via TRSOR Promotions, and it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review.
