In a diary left by a gifted, yet tormented woman, is it possible to find answers to hidden family secrets? Are Caitlin’s thoughts and vivid descriptions of her nightmares based on reality? Do they tell of a terror-struck human caught between reality and the dream world or do they relate to the present day, as well? Clearly meant to be read between book one and two of Juli D. Revezzo’s Antique Magic series, I couldn’t resist when I saw this author’s name in the byline. Caitlin’s Book of Shadows is dark, frightening and conveys the turmoil of a time long ago in a way that only Juli D. Revezzo can tell. If you have been thinking about reading this series, do it, in order and maybe not right before bedtime. Dark, taut and closer to horror than fantasy, if this is representative of the series…I highly recommend it! I’m going to read it!

Very short, but it gives some backstory on a few months of Caitlin and Trevor's lives after the events in book 1. Caitlin's dreams are HORRID and wonderfully creepy and you're left balancing between wondering if she merely has an overactive imagination or if the imp that was bedeviling her husband really has returned. Ultimately you don't get the answer to that question in this story, but it whets the appetite for the next installment in the series. Because Trevor and Caitlin might have broken the curse hanging over Trevor's head, but they've also stepped into a world where anything is possible. And that's exciting! -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

This was a really interesting and creative "bookend" to The Artist's Inheritance, although you could read it either before or after and enjoy it. I liked reading a little about Caitlin's descendants, as well as having a peek into Caitlin's life after The Artist's Inheritance. Well done, and I can hardly wait to see a little bit more about the Celtic goddess Arianrhod.

Caitlin's Book of Shadows is, as it's called, a story set between books 1 and 2 of Juli D. Revezzo's Antique Magic series. As such, it's not necessarily something one should read and expect to understand without having read the first book, The Artist's Inheritance. That said, as a continuation of Caitlin's and Trevor's life, and adventures, together, Caitlin's Book of Shadows is a great story. We get to see a bit of the emotional aftermath of the events in book one, we get to see Cait and Trevor putting in effort to get their relationship back to okay, and we get to see how they begin to integrate the changes fate and life threw at them. And we get some foreshadowing of the book yet to come. There is a trend for shorter works to be released between books, either on author websites, exclusive mailing lists, or, now, in e-book format, and as a reader, I have to say I honestly enjoy this trend, and one I'm glad Ms. Revezzo has decided to take part in.
