Disappointed the story line was ok but not worth the money for only 80 pages of story. Not good value for the money.

Tara has suffered humiliation and physical abuse from an ex. She bears the scars on her body as well as her psyche. Rick suffered a fiancee's betrayal. Rick is encouraged by a friend to try the exclusive FANTA C which pairs adults by sexual interest. No BDSM here, but healing for both Rick and Tara. Truly a love story.

Erotic, sizzling passion flows from the pages of this seductive short story from Jennifer Probst! As a fan of Probst's previous novels, her writing is always sinfully dominating. Wish the ending wasn't so abrupt, but it gives a hint of excitement for what's to come in the next book!

I quite enjoy Jennifer Probst books so of course I was all for reading this series by her. One of the things, I loved was that the stories are short reads and are perfect for a relaxing night at home. Even though, this is a short story it has everything to make it an interesting and complete read. It is romantic, hot, heartbreaking and full of hope. Rick has been hurt in the past and the consequences nearly destroyed his life. So his mistrust towards women is quite understandable. But that changes the second he sees Tara. She spins his world around and makes him realize that he will do everything in the world to make her feel safe and happy. But Tara's past is a nightmare that she barely escaped alive and her trust in people, and especially men, is quite thin. But Rick is different and he manages to weave his way into her heart without her even realizing it. What these two broken people find in each others' arms is something special but the rocks on their way to HEA are quite difficult to overcome. So in a few words, this is quite a good read and I am definitely recommending it if you are on the look for a short read with some pretty hot scenes ;) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

4 star It all starts with one business card for FANTA C. You get one night to fulfill your fantasies. They match you with someone who wants a similar fantasy. It’s all about mutual enjoyment. This is Tara and Rick’s short story. Tara has a bad past. Can she overcome her past with this one night? Rick is surprised by his date but as the night goes on he knows Tara is just what he needs. Now he needs to convince her. Tara is finally free can she really jump into something else right away or will she run from all the feelings Rick invokes in her? Can these two come to an agreement or is Rick in for a chase to catch his woman? Rick needs patience and time to order to win Tara over. Is he prepared to pull out all the stops in order to catch her? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

Catch Me by Jennifer Probst is the first book in her newly re-released serial, Steele Brothers. We start this great series off with Rick Steele and Tara Denton. Rick thought he was in love but when he caught his fiancé cheating he closed himself off from that kind of pain. His friend refers him to an exclusive matchmaking agency and while he is skeptical he awaits their call and goes through with the meeting they set up for him. Tara fought a hard battle to get where she is - free, alive, no longer under any man's control, and no longer a victim. She decides she has one lat hurdle to overcome - to know that she can - before she signs off on her recovery and renewal as complete, she needs to be with a man and not be petrified. When these two meet the sparks are instantaneous but they are both so cautious. They both recognize something in the other that the truly can relate to and enjoy each other so much - but this was only about one night. Will they make it past dawn, together? Or is this one night all they have? A quick read packed full of steam and hottness. Very well-paced with enough story to satisfy but not too much that it drowns this serial novella in the pits of trying too hard. I loved it - Can't wait for more Steele brothers.

This is the first of 4 titles in the Steele Brother's series, and is a re-release of already existing tales, but with updated content and covers. Besides the link of the brothers, they all end up getting an invitation via Fanta -C, an upscale dating agency of sorts that plans one night affairs between two people with compatible interests. This novella features Rick and Tara. Rick's been avoiding female companionship lately after a cheating ex, but given the card for Fanta-C, decides to take advantage of the no strings attached one night stand it offers. When he meets Tara, a woman who is getting over an abusive ex, he is instantly drawn to her. They spend a steamy night together, but Tara is clear that that's all it's going to be. What I really appreciated about this story was how Rick, while being a dominant personality, was clearly able to understand that Tara wouldn't be ready at this time in her life for developing a more personal relationship with him. He gave her the time she needed to get her feet under her again, after showing her that she was worthy of being in a relationship, both sexually and emotionally. When they do finally reconnect after a few months, she's in a better frame of mind and heart for pursuing things with him, and his patience and understanding were worth the wait for her. It was a quick, sexy read and I'm looking forward to more of this series!

A sweetly hot quicky! Rick is going through a dry spell and on the suggestion of his friend he joins a club called FANTA C. The club offers specially selected hook ups with a like-minded partner for one night only. All he really expects is a date followed by a night of hot sex, but when he sets his eyes on Tara he’s blown away. Not at all what he was expecting Tara is shy and clearly wounded, but yet so honest and brave in what she’s looking for. Tara has suffered a lot at the hands of her ex-boyfriend and is covered in the scars to prove it. In an attempt to move on with her life and gain some control over her sexuality she joined FANTA C so she could do just that with that without the worry of getting hooked into a relationship and owned by another man. During their night together they both open up and heal each other, and soon a meaningful connection is formed. Rick is a Dom but this book was not full blown BDSM. There was a teeny bit of domination but what struck me most was how he used kindness and compassion to push Tara’s limits and seduced her into submission. I found that extremely refreshing! Busting at the seams with some sizzling sexy times, this book is a great bit of smutty escapism sprinkled with sweetness. No needless drama or droning on and on about past hurts, this book does exactly what it says on the bottle, just a quick and sexy read.

Have just finished reading Catch Me. Jennifer Probst has created a story that is a little bit darker than some of the books I have read previous. Tara uses sex as a way to escape a hurtful past. It allows her for a moment to feel wanted and experience human tough but it also gives her the chance to set boundaries in other areas of her life. Rick is seeking companionship as well as a chance to move on from a heartbreaking betrayal. What started out purely physical became a bond that ended up stronger than either one expected. I received a copy of Catch Me in exchange for an honest review. Catch me is a book that uses inner struggle, steamy situations and precise wondering to tell a story of facing fears and making difficult choices on the pathway to becoming a better and stronger person.

Reviewed by Shyla Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book This short packed a powerful punch! Ms. Probst did a stellar job of building up the mystery and tackling a very tough issue, abuse. Watching her characters overcome the bad things that had befallen them was inspiring. I felt like I knew them and I was there for every low and high. I appreciated her reminder that no matter what happens you can pick yourself up and move forward. I admired the hero, Rick Steele right off the bat! After walking in on his soon to be wife with the groom’s man he left town, sewed his oats, and realized he needed to fix himself from the inside out before he jumped in another bed or relationship. That’s a hard thing to do when you’ve been knocked on your rear. Did I mention he was also, tall, golden, blonde and deliciously chivalrous? Yes, that part surprised me as well! He’s participating in the One Night Stand Dating service as a favor for a friend because he was requested for the female client, Tara Denton. Where can I start with Tara? My heart bled for the poor girl who’d been through events so horrific they left behind physical and mental scars. Uncertain, embarrassed, and self-conscious she’s convinced she’s hideous and undesirable. I cheered as Rick showed her otherwise. I could go into more detail but then I’d be ruining things for you, and I don’t want to do that. This is a beautiful story about healing, growing, and gaining a true sense of self. The sex was steamy, but it was the emotions behind it that made this a must read.
