This story is about a ghost crab (also called a sand crab) called Cedrick. I first saw ghost crabs walking at night on Cocoa Beach. Although well camouflaged, we saw many tiny, funny looking crabs scurrying away from us in the beam of our flashlight. I was enchanted with them and began to wonder what their life was like – and the result is “Cedrick the Ghost Crab.”
