About the Author

Fred Bartlit

Fred is a West Point graduate, U.S Army troop commander, a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger Detachment, and a U.S. Army Ranger. He has been a trial lawyer for 57 years and represented President Bush and President Obama in their most important court matters. At age 85 his resistance workout keeps him objectively stronger than he was as a Ranger in his 20s. His lifelong experience, resulting from good exercise habits and techniques, demonstrates that frailty need not be an inevitable part of aging.

Steven Droullard

Steven teaches Attention Mechanics as they apply to psychological transformation at UPR in Los Angeles. He adopted Fred’s regimen after cancer and bypass surgery. At 66 he has fully recovered and is now physically stronger than he was in his 20s. He addresses the mental pitfalls that defeat many who sincerely want and need to adopt healthy habits.

Dr. Marni Boppart

Dr. Boppart is an associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health and is full-time faculty at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign, where she heads the Molecular Muscle Physiology Laboratory. Her research interests include cellular biomechanics, cell signaling, and the role of extracellular matrix proteins in the protection of skeletal muscle from injury, disease, and aging.
