This box set is just the thing to get me in the mood for starting my extensive Christmas shopping. Being from Louisiana, I started the last story first and worked my way forward. Lauren Gayle's "A Southern Lights Christmas" is a hoot! Poor guy from Minnesota comes down south to get away from snow, only to be hit with, you guessed it, MORE snow! Could not have been more down to earth and REAL if you're from this area. Don't miss out on your chance to donate to St. Jude's, always a worthy cause!
I was previously given Lauren Gayle's novella, A Southern Lights Christmas, as an ARC. Lauren has painted a vivid portrayal of small town living in southwest Louisiana...right down to the inconveniences of deep freezes during the holidays. A very enjoyable read that would make a great Hallmark movie! I'm halfway through the rest of the box set and so far, they are all living up to the hype. Don't miss out on this fabulous set and the chance to help out St. Jude hospital, as well!
The Christmas Challenge was given to me by author Kim Hornsby to review for launch day and I loved this story. It's a sweet romance with nothing more than a kiss but a very satisfying romance between a lonely psychologist and a doctor who does remote missions to help people with little access to medical care. I loved the snowy setting of Mistletoe Lodge in Oregon mountains and can't wait to read the other books in this set. I expect I'll be up all night reading!
This set is FANTASTIC! So many great books. I read an early copy of The Christmas Challenge and loved the story so much I couldn't wait to dive into the rest of the books. I just started Cooped Up For Christmas by Sabrina York, another favorite author of mine and I know these books are going to make a rainy October so much better.
I read The Christmas Challenge by Kim Hornsby. I think Tori has a lot on her plate. Life just really isn't going the way she planned. I think she really had problems with moving on because she is a psychiatrist. She had a life plan that went out before she could live it. Once you get stuck in something it is hard to get out of it. I am glad she had her blog and that kept her moving in the right direction. You will do just about anything for a friend and she has great ones that have stayed by her side through it all. I know how it feels to be left alone by people that I thought was friends but when they seen I wasn't going to be the person they needed me to be they left. I am so glad she found that she could get things together and go to her friends wedding. I think bumping into Matt is great. She needed him and with him being a doctor he understood more about how to help her then a lot of men would. He was sweet and took his time with her. Just what she needed. You could see the love grow with them. I wish this book was longer it was so good I wanted to see more. I think this was a good little Christmas story and it hit all the right notes you need to feel the love and holiday cheer
Cooped Up for Christmas by Sabrina York It was supposed to be an easy gig--working as a concierge at a luxury lodge for the super-rich over Christmas--but then he had to show up. The boy who broke my heart all those years ago. But former Navy SEAL Cameron Cooper isn't exactly a boy anymore. “There was another level to our desperation, something that had nothing to do with sexual satisfaction at all. It was a connection of souls…and it was fabulous.” Sabrina York delivers once again all the things I love about her writing style in this sweet and snarky second chance romance! Loved and highly recommend! **I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received via the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. **
COZY CHRISTMAS READING! CHRISTMAS IN SNOW VALLEY by Tammy L. Grace is wonderful, cozy Christmas reading! What can possibly happen when someone hasn’t been home in years due to a broken heart, finally returns home and discovers she has to work with the jerk on a huge Christmas event? Possible disaster on all levels? Or, a chance for reconciliation? After all, Christmas miracles still happen. It will be two miracles if they pull off the event and work things out. A great book for sitting down with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa. I was provided an ARC of this Novella by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence. I have bought the entire collection for my own personal library.
