Kate, Daniel and Juliet are working hard to get the Clock House on the Green ready for opening. They will share the business and have one spot that still has to be filled, they have a bar that needs a manager. Kate knows someone who will be perfect for the position, her friend Emma, who has tried to become a successful Hollywood actress for years, but doesn't seem to get the right parts, and is ready for a change. Is moving to Whispers Wood what Emma needs to feel happy again? Jake doesn't like Christmas. He was badly hurt by a woman once and as everyone knows everything about him in the small village, he wants to get away from Whispers Wood during the holiday season. He finds comfort in designing beautiful gardens, but there's an emptiness he can't seem to fill. When Emma arrives at the Clock House Jake's heart is slowly thawing. However, Jake doesn't know if he can trust again. Is Christmas really such a horrible time or will he have the chance to enjoy it again because of Emma? Christmas at the Little Clock House on the Green is a wonderful heartwarming story. It was fun to read more about the Clock House. There's so much progress and I enjoyed watching the business develop into something amazing. I liked reading about Kate and Juliet again. They're fabulous main characters and I enjoyed finding out more about their love lives. Emma is a good addition to the Clock House family. She's got a big heart, she's always friendly and she has a smile for everyone. Her character is perfect for a Christmas story. Especially when there's a moody man whose heart needs to be defrosted. I absolutely loved the romantic part of the story and couldn't turn the pages quickly enough to find out what would happen between Emma and Jake. Eve Devon has a lovely easy flowing writing style. I was spellbound by her story from the start and enjoyed reading it from beginning to end. I love her vibrant descriptions of Whispers Wood and its inhabitants. The village has plenty of character and there's a lot going on. Christmas at the Little Clock House on the Green has the exact right Christmas spirit. It's a charming feelgood story filled with beautiful moments and romance. I highly recommend this fantastic festive book.
