Circles of Stone

On a tip from a stranger, international supermodel Natalia McCrory travels for the first time to her native Peru to meet a woman who might be her birth mother. Not only are mother and daughter reunited, but Natalia learns that her adoptive father is also her biological father.

The discovery that the father she adores has perpetrated a twenty-five-year deception against his wife and daughter. He has also deprived his Peruvian lover of all contact with or knowledge of her child. Filled with rage and shame, Natalia resolves to expose her father's lie. Yet, she faces a personal dilemma. The revelation might destroy her adoptive parents' marriage and cause her to lose the only family she has ever known.

Concurrently, a life-change is taking place deep within Natalia's spirit, radically shifting her life and career priorities. That transformation draws her back to Peru on a personal mission to serve the impoverished children of her native country, in gratitude for the life and opportunities her adoption has given her.

What People are Saying About This

Ed.D. Muriel James

In Circles of Stone, the profound psychological and spiritual implications will surely fan yearnings for transcendence in others, as they have in me. I have the feeling of having reached the top of a mountain. (Author of "Born to Win" and Passion for Life)

Camille Minichino

With finely drawn characters and sure, confident writing, Garrotto takes you on a spiritual journey through big cities, deserts, and beaches -- in a story that begins and ends in a Peruvian orphanage. You'll love Natalia, as you join in her quest to find meaning, love, and purpose. (author of "The Boric Acid Murder: A Gloria Lamerino Mystery")

Lynna Banning

>Circles of Stone is a riveting story of love, passion, and a personal quest. I was drawn in and held enthralled by this moving and honest book about a young woman's search for selfhood and the true story of her birth. Along the way I met engaging secondary characters, tasted an exotic South American setting, laughed, cried, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. This is a wonderful story that sticks in your heart long after the last page is turned. A.J. Garrotto is one of those rare writers who truly understands the human spirit. (author of "The Angel of Devil's Camp")
