From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby comes the second novel in her sizzling Fusion series.

Camilla, “Cami,” LaRue was five-years-old when she first fell in love with Landon Palazzo. Everyone told her the puppy love would fade—they clearly never met Landon. When he left after graduation without a backward glance, she was heartbroken. But Cami grew up, moved on, and became part-owner of wildly popular restaurant Seduction. She has everything she could want...or so she thinks.

After spending the last twelve years as a Navy fighter pilot, Landon returns to Portland to take over the family construction business. When he catches a glimpse of little Cami LaRue, he realizes she’s not so little any more. He always had a soft spot for his little sister’s best friend, but nothing is soft now when he’s around the gorgeous restauranteur.

Landon isn’t going to pass up the chance to make the girl-next-door his. She’s never been one for romance, but he’s just the one to change her mind. Will seduction be just the name of her restaurant or will Cami let him get close enough to fulfill all her fantasies?

## Marvelous book. Albeit really enjoying this book tremendously, I must say I liked the first book in this series better. The characters were just as amazing, but there was one thing missing for me. A conflict. There was one scene when the heroine screamed at the hero, but that only lasted two minutes and everything was resolved. Otherwise this was terrific. The hero was....well humina, humina comes to mind and the heroine was beautiful and fun-loving. I will definitely read again and am excited for Kat's story next.

Cami has loved Landon since she was a teenager. Little does she know that Landon had feelings for her but felt he was too old for her at the time, so he joins the Navy. Landon returns ten years later after an accident stops his flying career. They pick up their friendship where it left off which quickly leads to romance. I enjoyed this book because you felt right their with all the delightful characters. They are normal people with normal feelings just like us. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Great series by Ms. Proby... Excellent characters, well written and unique story line. Cami and Landon were two beautiful people, very deserving.. Landon got released from the Navy after having to eject from his plane and could no longer fly... Cami had lost her parents tragically and relied heavily on her nephew and her 4 partners in Seduction (a restaurant). Neighbors and friends from childhood Cami had loved Landon "forever" never dreaming that he had feelings for her too... But, he had to wait for her to grow up... Great story of two special and deserving people.. already ordered book 3...

Close to You is the second story in Kristen Proby’s Fusion series which focuses on five female friends who’ve started a restaurant together. While I haven’t read the first book in the series, this one is a friends-to-lovers/best friend’s sibling trope which I always enjoy, and it’s an easy, light read with a predictable plot. However it is a little too light on substance and doesn’t have enough conflict for me to say that it will linger long in my memory. I think there is definitely an audience for this type of romance, even if it’s not going on my own personal favorites list. The story is predictable from start to finish with a few twists but nothing you don’t see coming. Close to You is a sweet friends-to-lovers story that will please readers looking for an easy, low-on-angst afternoon read.

Cami and Landon, perfect, a perfect couple, who find their way to each other after years of yearning from a distance. A great second book in the Fusion series.

I read the with me series and by the end of the series i was glad it was done as I felt all the characters were the same. I thought I would try her new series and bought this book on a whim. I don't feel like I missed anything by not reading the first book in the series and I don't feel compelled to pre-order the next. I did read the whole book, though and didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time.

I loved the chemistry between Cami and Landon! Kristen Proby creates honest stories you can relate to. With amazingly strong women I wish I had on speed dial, and men that show their greatest strength in their ability to love...I laughed out loud, reached for a few tissues, and made note of when the next Fusion novel is due out. Get up close and personal with Close To You!

5 Stars This is the second book in Kristen Proby's new Fusion series. We meet both Cami and Landon in Listen To Me but we don't really get to know too much about each character. Cami has loved Landon since she first met him when they were just kids, she tried moving on and getting married but she realises no one will ever really live up to Landon. Landon wasn't at all what I was expecting, he was so sweet and charming and you just couldn't help but fall in love with the hunky man! Cami was a better character than I was expecting her to be, I thought I would like her sure but I ended up liking her so much than I expected to. I have to say Kristen Proby has a way of writing men you just can't help but love, they always have me won over instantly. There is always plenty of feelings involved when you read one of Kristen 's book's. She has just the right amount of hot and steamy scenes which leave you needing a cold shower, emotional and angst filled scenes that make you have a little cry and also a heaping pile of humour that leaves your sides sore from laughing. I for one can't wait to see what comes next from these sexy, sassy, kickass restaurant owners and the hot, sweet and charming men that win their hearts!

This. Was. Awesome. I love it when a story leaves me smiling like a giddy fool! A super swoony hero doesn't hurt either. ;-) I thought a great introduction was laid out right from the beginning giving a strong foundation for the story and I was all in! I loved these characters so much. Landon and Cami were just really genuine, great people. He was so sweet and sincere, he just made me melt! Cami was pretty fantastic too, such a great friend, so open and caring. They had great chemistry, I loved the story of them coming together and the massive crush they both had on each other, it was jut so heartfelt. I loved that longing Landon and Cami both had. I felt there was a really natural progression in their relationship and I loved the pursuit. It felt so easy and honest since they'd known each other for so long. They had some really nice steamy moments too. Chemistry indeed! ;-) I thought this was a fun read. I found myself chuckling quite a bit, it was really entertaining and I was excited while reading it. It was truly enjoyable. I sat down to read and pretty much blew off my day because I was caught up in it all. It wasn't too heavy but there were a few emotional moments mixed in as well and a bit of drama, I definitely got choked up. The writing was great. I liked the pace of the story and the development. I adore all the women and the relationships they have with one another. They're so fun together with their good natured ribbing but also really there for each other. It's a truly wonderful bond they have. I loved it, it had such a playful feel! I loved the rhythm of the story, it was just highly entertaining, so lovely and real. A total feel good, friends to lovers story. :-) Complimentary copy received for honest review.

4.5 - "I couldn't have pictured it any better than this." Stars! If like me you have been an avid reader of Kristen Proby books since the With Me in Seattle series, then you will know that the one thing this author excels at is setting up is a group of people, whether it be familial or friend, and giving them their own separate books whilst building up a diverse and engrossing series around their stories. Close to You is the second book in the Fusion series, and I am ashamed to say I haven’t as yet read the first book Listen to Me although obvious this is a series, this book was easily read as a standalone. "I’ve watched you from a distance for years, caring for you, worrying about you, thinking of you… I’ve felt pulled to you my entire life… I couldn’t explain it, and I couldn’t wish it away even when I tried. You’ve never left me. I’ve carried you with me always." Another thing Kristen excels at is taking the tried and tested tropes and giving her characters well written, easy-going stories with bearable levels of drama and angst, and Landon and Cami’s story certainly hit those points perfectly. Best friends older brother, is one of my favorite tropes, and the reconnection between them after almost ten years without any meaningful contact was sweet to start, sexy through the middle and then an emotional roller-coaster towards the end. "I promise to go easy on you." Nothing really new or predictable about the plot with this one, but Landon was a sweetheart, and Cami for the most part was the kind of woman you would want to call ‘friend’. The secondary characters, and the other women involved in Fusion Restaurant gave great depth to their story-line, and offered up enough detail about themselves so you are going to know who’s who when it comes to the forthcoming books in the series. I do need to now go back and read Listen to Me, so I am up to speed with Jake and Addie’s story, and well just because I know it will be another outstanding read, like this one was. Another winner for me, from this author, and I cannot wait to get my hands on Blush for Me Kat’s book, Which is due for release March 2017. ARC generously provided via Edelweiss, and it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review.

I loved Listen To Me and I couldn’t wait to read Close to You. I was looking forward for more Cami and Landon since meeting them in the first book, and those friends-to-lover-slash-brother’s-best-friend kind of book would swept me off my feet. Kristen Proby didn’t disappoint. Cami and Bryan’s relationship is quite different from the usual couple who underwent divorce. Theirs was pretty much surprising – since they were still friends, there was no bitterness, even an iota of it – not to mention Cami is trying to set up Brian every chance she gets. Bryan deserves his HEA despite the fact that they didn’t have one. Her ex was a great guy, but just wasn’t the one for her. Because she already gave her heart to Landon a long time ago. He was home from the navy, and this time it was for good. Cami had always been special to him, but before, she was just too young, and then suddenly she was married. But now, coming home, with both of them single – it was finally their time! Landon is really sweet! He’s someone you’d love to have because he’s the kind of man that understands women, knows what she needs, when she needs it and how she needs it. They were great together and really meant for each other. I love this book because more than just the love story that would make you swoon, the friendship and bond between the girls that owns FUSION is quite amazing. I love their talks, and their banters. Here are women who are successful in their fields, sexy, funny, quite a catch and are looking for their happy-ever-afters. I love the fact that it is not too heavy, not to light and have scenes that will really touch your hearts and bring some tears into your eyes. Close To You is a well-written, perfectly paced with the perfect mix of steam and swoony-romance. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!

For Landon it took almost a lifetime to discover what Cami had admitted to at a young age. That falling in love is confusing, heartbreaking and worth all the drama in the end. I received an ARC of Close to You by Kristen Proby in exchange for an honest review. The second chance plot line is not that surprising in romance. It's been done before, quite often in fact. However, Camilla was the spark that drew me to this novel. Her undying love for the boy who captured her heart at age five and held it throughout youth, adulthood, distance and his blind ignorance made for a great payoff. Close to You has sentiment, brass and whole lot class added to the teasing allure.

I love this book because the struggle is real. My husband and I went through a lot of the same stuff. We liked each other before I wad 18. We had trouble with pregnacy. I have always loved Kristens books but related to so much with this one. Great Job Kristen!
