Overview

Colette Faizal isn't superstitious, so she doesn't worry when a fortune-teller advises Colette's mother to "watch for the unexpected." But when her father announces he is going back to Iran, her mother is hurt in a car accident and Colette is sent to live with the grandparents she's never even met, everything the mysterious woman predicted seems to be coming true. Nancy Belgue is the author of several books for young people, including the popular Casey Little, Yo-Yo Queen. Her writing has appeared in magazines in both Canada and the United States. In addition to speaking to children as a visiting author, Nancy has worked as a literary/drama artist with the Royal Conservatory’s Learning Through The Arts program and has acted in television commercials, training videos and documentaries. She lives in Harrow, Ontario.
