About the Author

Dr. A.K. Bhattacharya is all India topper of 1983 batch of Indian Forest Service. He is Doctorate in Environmental Science (Ecology). Presently he is serving M. P. Forest Department as Deputy Conservator of Forests at Bhopal. He possesses research and practical experience of seventeen years in the fields of Environmental Science and Forestry. He has contributed large number of research papers and articles in the above fields. The present book is an outcome of the project report submitted by him in the University of Tasmania, Australia as a part of the six months course on Sustainable Forestry Development.
