“What would you do if you suddenly discovered that nothing about life was as you thought it was and all your choices seem to have been made for you centuries before you were born? That’s the reality young Alexa faces, and how well she copes will determine the fate of her world and that of the preternatural. Now, if only someone would explain what is going on!”
For eighteen-year-old Alexa finding a place to put down roots after being forced into a nomadic life by her paranoid mother was not as simple as she had believed. Her attempt to settle down in the coastal town of Beverly comes to an abrupt halt. Within months an explosion levels her apartment building, and all her preconceived ideas of her world come to an end.
Now on the run, Alexa can only follow Bet, her roommate, into the unknown, where the worlds of the Sidhe race of faeries, warlocks, daemons, and shadows, threaten her very existence. Pulled into a prophecy that she together with Aidan, the Sidhe Prince, would right their worlds, Alexa finds herself fighting against the prophecy’s telling of her being bound to Aidan. What makes it worse is her increasing attachment to his brother Liam.
With her destiny set centuries ago, can she save their worlds in time, does she have a choice in who to love, or will choosing her own path lead to their destruction?

About the Author
Welcome and thank you for visiting I started writing in what I thought would be a hobby. I wrote on weekends. An early riser, I would boot up my computer, grab a cup of coffee and type away, all the while attempting to fire up my imagination. Luckily, my better half slept in late on weekends. This took place during my full-time employment in the financial sector. Switching caps, from money issues to creativity, was not easy. I kept at it though. Somewhere between the first word and the last, I created something I felt proud of. Was I crazy to take early retirement to pursue my dreams? Maybe. I had put in enough years at my company to allow me the option. Friends and family encouraged me. What started out as a pastime became my passion. Do I miss getting up at the same time every day, grabbing the same bus and joining in the hustle and bustle of work? No. Do I feel fulfilled to be doing something I enjoy? More than I thought possible. Three books later, my trilogy is complete. The final installment of The Crystal Series will be released in September. I have already started work on developing my new continuing series, and have seven chapters down. My point in all this is to never think you cannot do something. Even a few sentences, written when able, can be the start of your story. Never give up, never give in. We all have our own voice. Follow your passions. If not writing, then do anything that inspires you. As an avid, ferocious reader of practically anything written, be it historical, fantasy, thrillers or spy novels, I tend to lean more to the paranormal genre. I have always been fascinated with anything occult. Born in Montreal, Canada to Greek parents who loved to indulge me with tales of mythology and history, I draw inspiration from their stories and combine them with my love of the paranormal. The tales I tell are from the heart, personal to me and my characters hopefully come alive for you. I hope you enjoy my foray into writing and appreciate what I create. Enjoy!! Nia Markos
