About the Author

Walter St. John has a lifelong interest in interpersonal communication. He lives in the outskirts of Bangor, Maine, with his wife.
Now retired, St. John had three professional careers. He began his career in public education as a teacher, counselor, coach and administrator. Next, he was a college professor and administrator with three state universities. He completed his career in management for the Hersey Foods Corporation and later as the president of the Management Communications Institute.
St. John has given speeches and conducted communications workshops throughout the United States and Canada as well as written extensively in the communications field.
St. John was graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications and a master's degree in History and Political Science. He earned his doctorate from the University of Southern California with a major in management and a minor in counseling.
