About the Author

Michael T. Callahan is founder and President of CCL Construction Consultants, Inc. Mr. Callahan earned a B.A. from the University of Kansas, a J.D. law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Law, and a L.L.M. masters in law from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Callahan is experienced in expert witness testimony and the analysis of construction claims and project schedules. He has authored several books on the subject of construction claims and construction schedules including: Discovery in Construction Litigation (Lexis, 5th Ed. 2011); Construction Delay Claims (Aspen Publishers, 5th Ed. Updated 2010); Construction Schedules (Lexis, 2nd Ed. 1998); Termination of Construction and Design Contracts (Aspen Publishers, Updated 2013); Procurement of Construction and Design Contracts (Aspen Publishers, 2005); Construction Change Order Claims (Aspen Publishers, 2nd Ed. Updated 2013); Construction Delay Claims (Aspen Publishers, 5th Ed. Updated 2010), Discovery In Construction Litigation (Lexis, 5th Ed. 2011), and Shared Design (Aspen Publishers, 2012). Mr. Callahan is also contributing editor to the monthly electronic publication Construction Law Digest (LexisNexis / Matthew Bender) that presents the latest court decisions involving construction litigation cases in Federal and State court. Mr. Callahan has lectured in the United States and overseas on construction scheduling, productivity, and claims topics. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas where he taught CPM scheduling, contract and claims administration courses in the Architectural Engineering School, and also taught at Iowa State University. Mr. Callahan is an associate of the “Chartered Institute of Arbitrators”, a member of the “American Arbitration Association”, and member of the American Bar Association.
