About the Author

I enjoy writing but make a living as a professional designer. I create websites, logos, print projects, etc. You can see samples of that at http://www.robertricks.com... Between 2004 and 2007, I created and published a collectible card game called the STREET WARriorS which was by far one of the hardest things I had ever done [up till now :) ]. (The whole experience is up at http://www.thestreetwars.com) While creating the game we decided to move to Utah since we found out my third (and final) child Zach was soon to come into the world. Zach was born in 2004 and after the experience with the STREET WARriorS came to an end, I started working full-time for other companies. In 2007 I found myself unemployed and doing nothing but freelance work. That made things very difficult for my wife and I. The economy continued to get strained... Mid 2009 as I was juggling several projects I began having a series of odd dreams that wouldn't leave me alone (truth be told they still pop in). As I pondered those dreams over the next couple of weeks I decided to write Convergence 2012. I recently completed it. So the short version of who is Robert Ricks? Just a pixel pushing computer nerd who is heavily into games and his family. Yeah, I guess that about sums it up!
