Good work! GL OUT!
Lucky sat on the fence bordering his housefolk's yard, the late afternoon sun shining on his pelt. He was gazing into the forest, wondering what it would be like if he lived there. Stories about wild cats kept him away from it, but he wasn't happy with his housefolk. He longed to know what it was like to survive out there.
The door creaked open, and his young twoleg kit was calling him to dinner. Lucky sighed, reluctant to eat. The bland oder wafting from his food made his lip curl. He flicked his tail in annoyance while eating it. He began grooming, trying to wash away the scent. He was a golden furred tom with white spots by his eyes, and darker gold bands around his tail and legs. A dark golden stripe ran down his back.
After he finished grooming, he trotted outside, sniffing the air. a noise from the forest startled him. He crept foward, leaping up on the fence. A mouse? Hunting wouldn't be so bad right now. He slowly lept fom the fence into the cool forest. Sunlight streaked through the trees, and bird tweeted. The noise came again, louder this time.
Lucky padded foward to find a dark brown striped tabby tom, wolfing down a small shrew. Lucky was shocked. A wildcat! He felt his fur rising. The cat spotted him and relaxed. "What's a kittypet doing out here?" He mewed. Lucky shrugged, hurt a bit by the cat calling him a kittypet. "Who are you?" He mewed, keeping his distance.
"I'm Darkpaw." The cat answered with a hint of pride. "I'm hunting for ThunderClan." "I'm Lucky." Lucky mewed. "ThunderClan?" He was a bit confused. Darkpaw's eyes widened. "You haven't heard of the four great clans? And their best apprentince?"
"No..." Mewed Lucky, interested, but tired of Darkpaw's pride. "Are you him?" Darkpaw purred slightly. "Yes." Something told Lucky that Darkpaw wasn't the best. A rustle in the bushes intterupted them, and two cats stepped out.
(Cliffhanger! I hope ya'll enjoyed and thanks for reading! Stars &star Above)
