About the Author

Charles A. Bonnici has been an educator for forty years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in the New York City public school system. For the past ten years, as an adjunct at Pace University, he has developed and taught three educational leadership courses to students seeking their state certification.
Charles A. Bonnici has been an educator for fifty years, serving the children of New York City as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and then as an instructor and mentor of aspiring school leaders. He has written three previous books on educational leadership; currently he is a consultant with the Executive Leadership Institute in New York City.
Bruce S. Cooper, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus, Education Administration and Public Policy, Graduate School of Education, Fordham University; having taught at University of Pennsylvania and Dartmouth College, after receiving his doctorate at the University of Chicago with Donald A. Erickson, as his mentor. Cooper has written 35 books on education politics and policy, including The Handbook of Education Politics and Policy, in two editions with Lance D. Fusarelli and James Cibulka; served as President of the Politics of Education Association and a founding member of Private School Research Association; and received the Jay D. Scribner Award for Mentoring and the UCEA.
