I don't think I will ever really understand why intelligent grown people think the way they do. I don't know if I am off or just so many others in stories. What is wrong with others, friends, knowing some of your past? Especially when that past comes back to bite you. I really don't understand Verity didn't want anyone to know she was seeing Travis, and even so why his knowing her background would put him in danger? The mysteries of life. I really enjoyed Cross My Heart, a stand a lone story from the Heroes of Seaside Point series. I got a good sense of the other characters from the Tattoo My Heart. It was good to revisit them and share in their adventures. I believe this was a much tighter story than others I have read from this author. The pacing was good and before I knew it I was turning the last page. Looking forward to the next installment on the folks in Seaside Point. (I wonder, why is it named seaside when it isn't along side the water? humm :)) I recommend this story to 14+ due to adult content
Travis and Verity's story is filled with love, romance, and mystery.
