We're a match made in hell, Stefan and I.

He took me to exact his revenge. I went from being a pawn to my father to being a pawn to Stefan. The only difference is I have a ring the size of a boulder on my finger and a husband I don't want.

And the hardest part is I thought he was different. I thought I was falling in love.

I guess my father was right. I'm not a very smart girl.

Stefan is a powerful man. He doesn't play nice, not if you're his enemy. But I've learned one thing about my husband.

He takes care of what's his.

And I am his.

His enemies have become my enemies, but he'll never let anyone hurt me. He's fiercely protective. It's the predator inside that scares me.

Definitely a great ending to Stefan and Gabriela's story. This book was fast paced, dark and full of twists and turns.I loved it.The mafia part was at it's finest. We got all the answers we needed and I was surprised with how things turned out to be. Stefan and Gabriela did got on my nerves, better part of this book I spent being angry at them cause they were acting like children, but a the end they did some growing up. Overall,I loved this duet. It's a great written story with great characters and I honestly recommend it.

Damage is the second and last book to the duet of the arranged marriage between Stefen and Gabriella. We start right where we ended in Collateral with Gabi in the wrong way. Stefen ends up burning down the place (not for real) to fix the problems that he finds out is going on in his house and how Gabi got into her predicament. Gabi is young, that is the first thing I have to keep reminding myself whenever Gabi does something she thinks is right. I also have to remember that although she has been brought up in this life and mistreated all her life, for some reason, Gabi keeps trusting people that she shouldn't. But isn't that the whole point? We as humans do that? When Gabi is taken in the first book and put into this life, she knows that Stefen is not the prince she needs, but she hopes against everything that he can be. But time after time, he shows he is not that man. So why wouldn't she trust others? Even though it seems to bit everyone in the a**. Stefen is a strong character, and, to be honest, I love him. He is a mafia king that has to be. But he also has a soft side that nobody gets to see but Gabi although she doesn't know that. Everything Stefen does is collected and thought out before he does it. But for the first time, someone gets in his thoughts and feelings. I LOVED this duet!

***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog*** Damage by Natasha Knight Book Two of the Collateral Damage series Publication Date: October 15, 2019 Rating: 4 stars Source: eARC sent by the publicist Official Summary: We’re a match made in hell, Stefan and I. He took me to exact his revenge. I went from being a pawn to my father to being a pawn to Stefan. The only difference is I have a ring the size of a boulder on my finger and a husband I don’t want. And the hardest part is I thought he was different. I thought I was falling in love. I guess my father was right. I’m not a very smart girl. Stefan is a powerful man. He doesn’t play nice, not if you’re his enemy. But I’ve learned one thing about my husband. He takes care of what’s his. And I am his. His enemies have become my enemies, but he’ll never let anyone hurt me. He’s fiercely protective. It’s the predator inside that scares me. What I Liked: I'll keep this review somewhat short, since this is a conclusion novel and I want to avoid spoilers. We met Stefan and Gabriela in Collateral, and what a dynamic, passionate, intense couple they are. Their love story is incredibly dark, and not your typical romance. There is push and pull, give and take. Their relationship is incredibly difficult, heartbreaking, and angst-ridden. This book picks up pretty much where Collateral left off. Things are in motion from the start, and the action doesn't slow down until the very last page. I really don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so I won't say any specifics. But I will say that Stefan and Gabriela clash and collide very soon after this book starts, in a sweet and powerful way. The romance in general is not sweet. It's not a cute, slow-burn romance. It's a slow-burn romance that is filled with pain, passion, and tug-of-way. I didn't always like Stefan's actions; I didn't always like Gabriela's compromises. But I did like how they slowly found their way into their relationship, together. There is no love triangle in this book! One thing that I truly liked was how the two main characters were together, whether they liked it or not, from the start, and never strayed from their engagement (or marriage). This book ends with a bang - but also a HEA! And that is all I will say. I enjoyed this novel, and I definitely enjoyed the ending. What I Did Not Like: I will say that I did not always like Stefan's actions. I understand his mind, and his regret, but I didn't like how he conducted himself at times. I also wanted a little more development of their relationship at the very end. The author seemed to want to put a neat bow on the ending, and tie everything up quickly. But Stefan and Gabriela's relationship issues couldn't just be fixed so quickly, with one or two hurdles out of the way. I wanted to see a little more development. But on the other hand, I was really happy about the HEA! Would I Recommend It: If you like dark romances, then this is a good one. It is not sweet - it is intense and dark and not super romantic. But I liked the painful, tortured level of the romance. It's definitely not for everyone though. I am so glad that an author friend recommended Collateral to me - I loved this series! Rating: 4 stars. I am pretty pleased with this duology and so glad I gave it a chance. I'll definitely be on the lookout for new books by this author!

Did this book set out to be a suspense? Because it really turned into one for me. The twists and turns, the set backs, the set ups, the changing of loyalties and realities, it was a wild ride. Oh, and I was right, and a little wrong, but just a smidge Gabriela and Stefan are torn apart and put together so many different ways and so many different times as they travel this path. One thing they can’t deny is that no matter what happens, or why it happens, they end up turning, needing, wanting, the other. Nothing is simple, and all things hurt, but the pain and comfort they need is in the other. It does all finally fall into place, at the very end, with devastating consequences, but they are together, and that is the only reality that they know or need

We are back with Stefan and Gabriela in this second story that continues where the first left off. These two are a match made in hell. Going from her father to her husband Stefan left Gabriela as a pawn. Now she has Stefan's enemies but he will protect what's his property. Stefan is ruthless and will not accept less than Gabriela's submission. I loved the predator/prey aspect and all the twists and turns kept me on the edge with this story. A great read and highly recommended. Stories must be read in order with Collateral first then Damage.

"One heroic act does not a hero make" What a flipping ending! Gabriel once again tested my patience but as I pointed out previously she is a result of her circumstances and she is so young. And she still believes in fairy tales. Watching Gabi maneuver through the shark-infested waters of her life was a whole new level of suspense. Even I was never sure who was a friend and who was a foe. I wanted so many times to reach out and comfort her. To tell her it would be okay. Eventually, it had to be right? A few times I think she came very close to just letting go but her heart knew what her mind could not process. Stefan still one of my favorite anti-heroes. I still am torn between throttling him and straddling him. Watching him play both roles - the dark vigilante and the loving fiance, each battling for dominance over the other was at times emotional trying. He knew in his heart what he wanted but like Gabi, he just wasn't listening. Turns out I was pretty close about who was behind some of our previous ill encounters but I was waaayyyy off on a bunch of other twists. Be prepared for a bit of a roller-coaster ride with this closing duet. That is one of the things that I enjoy so much about Knight's work. She always tosses in the unexpected.

5 MUST READ Stars for Damage (Book 2 in the Collateral Damage Duet)!!! WOW!!! When I finished Collateral, with it's nail-biting cliffhanger, I simply couldn't WAIT for the conclusion! Let me just say that Ms. Knight did NOT disappoint in any way! Damage is EVERYTHING I was expecting....and soooooooo much more! The second book in this duet continues right where the first left off, dropping you IMMEDIATELY into the terrifying situation that Gabriela finds herself in! This completely compelling, absolutely astonishing story kept me sitting on the edge of my seat and had my heart pounding like I'd just finished a marathon! It took me to places that I never imagined it would take me and left me breathless with ALL the FEELS!!! Stefan is the epitome of the strong, ALPHA male with a heart of gold (at least when it comes to Gabi). Where he could be utterly ruthless when it came to his enemies, he could be sweet and tender with the woman who stole his heart, while at the same time, he was totally and completely in control *sigh* All his alphaness is so swoon-worthy, so panty-melting! And Gabriela turned out to be just as strong and feisty, stubborn, innocent in so many ways yet, the perfect foil for the dominant and masterful Stephan! Once again, Natasha Knight has delivered an unforgettable, dark and steamy, intense romance full of intrigue, betrayal, love, loss and enduring love that needs to be on EVERYONE'S MUST READ list!!! Now, I need MORE! *hint hint*

My emotions were beautifully damaged by this book! 5 stars My emotions were damaged by this book in every way, but they were beautifully damaged because I cared so much about Stefan and Gabriela’s story. I cried for Gabriela, and I felt her pain at feeling alone and feeling like she was just collateral damage in a mafia war. Stefan frustrated me, but by the end he made me swoon which I didn’t think was possible! The mafia business of this story was an intense ride, and the revelations towards the end made me jaw drop. Stefan and Gabriela’s love story was also intense with their push and pull between hate and love and betrayal and trust, and their sizzling chemistry together. My emotions finally rose to a smiling, happy place with that beautiful ending. I definitely recommend this intense, sexy, emotional mafia duet! I received a copy of this ebook from the author for my honest review.

amage by Natasha Knight - 5 stars Wow, just WOW! This was one helluva conclusion of a freaking amazing duet. Damage was all and more than I expected. Natasha Knight is my favorite person ever to write Maffia anything. This is her kingdom and she rules it like the Queen that she is. Stefan and Gabriela are back and just when you think everything should be perfect saga ending you get slammed with more than both your brain and heart can handle. I loved how there was not a single dull moment, there was action on each page and you couldn’t know who to trust and how would get stabbed in the back next. There were parts that got my eyes pop out and I’m pretty sure i stopped breathing for a moment or two there. This was absolutely AMAZING and there are no words to explain it. Nothing could do this PERFECT story justice. It gets all the stars in heaven from me and i highly RECOMMEND it. I can’t wait for everyone to read it and enjoy it.

We’re back for the whirlwind conclusion of the duet Collateral Damage with “Damage”, and it’s an intense, outstanding, action packed read with a relationship that can only be truly understood by the players. Must be read after “Collateral” The forced relationship between Stefan and Gabriela has slowly changed as the time has passed, Stefan seems to be blowing hot and cold towards Gabriela, is he going to be cruel or kind, her feelings are all a jumble, but what are her true feelings towards Stefan? The story was an addictive read, very hard to put down as unexpected twist and turns became riveting suspenseful thrills that had me on the edge of my seat, as I anticipate what was coming next. Gabriela was still the intensely strong heroine as she continues to be Stefan’s pawn and his show of power, and what’s her father up too? There’s more deceit and violence to contend with, as more trust and loyalties are broken. It’s a fast paced story, brilliantly written. A magnificent arranged Mafia marriage extravaganza and a definite must read. I loved it!

Welcome back to Sicilia, to Gabriela and Stefan's stormy story, for the second opus of the Collateral Damage duet. Take a deep breath, settle comfortably into your favorite book nook, the story starts off where it ended in the last installment. Remember? Fast paced, Damage is a book I couldn't put down. From the first page, I found myself swept up by  Stefan's mercurial behavior and Gabriela's emotional turmoil. Caught in the whirlwind of their responsabilities, the young woman and the ruthless mafioso have to make choices, all the while navigating the trusts, deceptions, betrayals. But choosing can prove to be tricky when you are surrounded by to much opacity. "Out of the frying pan and into the fire." Stefan had me on the edge of my seat all along, while Gabriela's sadness felt like a punch in my gut. It was so easy to relate to her stress, her constant fight. What felt the most heart wrenching, though, was her loneliness and her despair. The author amazingly captured the helplessness of her heroine when facing Stefan, perfect anti-hero, that I loved hating, and then fell for! "One heroic act does not a hero make.” Angsty, edgy, the heavy atmosphere of Damage utterly gripped me.  Enjoy, my friends!

4.25 stars--DAMAGE is the second instalment in Natasha Knight’s contemporary, adult COLLATERAL DAMAGE erotic, dark, mafia romance duology focusing on the head of the Sicilian Sabbioni family, twenty-nine year old Stefan Sabbioni, and eighteen year old Gabriela Marchese. DAMAGE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one COLLATERAL. WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers including questionable consent, discipline and violence. Told from dual first person perspectives (Stefan and Gabriela) DAMAGE continues to follow the acrimonious relationship between on the head of the Sicilian Sabbioni family, twenty-nine year old Stefan Sabbioni, and eighteen year old Gabriela Marchese. Gabriela Marchese is a pawn in the world of the Sicilian mob. As payment for her father’s debt Gabriela Marchese is a bird in a gilded cage but a bird who is somewhat naïve and struggles with what was, what is and what will be. Constantly looking for a way to escape her captor, Gabriela finds herself jumping from the proverbial frying pan into the fire, a jump that places her in the hands of someone trying to take control. What ensues is the building but dysfunctional relationship between Gabriela and Stefan, and the potential fall-out as someone else is determined to take over the mantel as head of the Sicilian mob. The relationship between Gabriela and Stefan is dark and flawed. Gabriela is nothing more than collateral damage; a forfeiture for sins of the past but a woman who continues to battle for her freedom regardless of the threats and potential for harm. Naïve and often TSTL (too stupid to live) our heroine places her trust in the wrong people, time and again, trust that will be destroyed at every turn. The $ex scenes are erotic, intense, dramatic and controlling. The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Stefan’s right hand man and cousin Rafa Catalano, his father Francesco Catalan; Rafa’s cousin Clara; Gabriela’s father Gabriel, and her brother Gabe; and Stefan’s housekeeper Miss Millie. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Rafa’s story. DAMAGE is a character driven story of family, betrayal, vengeance and retaliation; a story of blood, power, ascendance and control; of secrets and lies. The premise is dark, suspenseful, thought provoking and edgy; the characters are broken and tragic: the romance is disturbing, often heart breaking but passionate. DAMAGE is a startling and emotional dark romance with a twist that I suspected early on.
