About the Author

Retired University at Buffalo professor Gary Earl Ross is the award-winning author of story collections Wheel of Desire, Shimmerville, and Beneath the Ice, the novel Blackbird Rising, the Gideon Rimes mysteries Nickel City Blues, NC Crossfire, NC Storm Warning, and NC Naked Lady, and the plays Picture Perfect, The Scavenger's Daughter, The Mark of Cain, The Guns of Christmas, The Trial of Trayvon Martin, and Matter of Intent, winner of MWA's 2006 Edgar Award. The Scavenger's Daughter and Matter of Intent were adapted into films by CITOC Productions of Mumbai, India.
Always a fan of the supernatural, Jill Benson's favorite authors include Stephen King, Clive Barker, Dean Koontz, and Edgar Allan Poe. Jill is from Kansas City, but now resides in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina with her husband and four wonderful dogs. Recent works include Witch, WitchChild, and The Playground.
H.L. SUDLER is the author of six books, including Patriarch: My Extraordinary Journey from Man to Gentleman, CafeLiving's Favorite Cocktails (with Keith Vient), Man to Gentleman: A Beginner's Guide to Manhood, his short story collection The Looking Glass: Tales of Light and Dark, and his thriller novel series Summerville and Return to Summerville. His short story The Way of All Flesh was selected for the PATHS Humanitarian Writing Award. He has served as a magazine publisher, a newspaper editor, and a contributing writer to numerous anthologies and periodicals. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and currently lives in Washington, DC.
