The Arizona Vengeance is killing it on the ice. But one player can't seem to keep his eye on the puck—all thanks to the woman he just married to save her life.

"Find your next hockey hero in Sawyer Bennett's Arizona Vengeance series."—New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis

My name is Dax Monahan and hockey is my passion. And if you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass 24/7. I've never had a hard time focusing on my career, but when my past comes knocking, no amount of training can prepare me for what lies on the other side of the door.

Regan Miles was always like a sister to me. When a shared tragedy brings us face to face after several years, I'm shocked to see just how much she's changed. Gone is the shy, awkward little girl that always used to chase me and her brother around. Instead, I'm faced with a gorgeous woman who makes it damn hard to concentrate on anything but her.

Turns out, she's in trouble, and the only way out is to get married.

I surprise myself when I tell her to marry me. Order her, actually. And most shocking of all, she doesn't even hesitate before saying yes.

So it's settled. We're getting hitched and she's moving to Arizona with me. All platonic, of course.

The catch?
I never knew I'd fall so hard for my best friend's little sister.

From previous books in this fabulous series, it was fairly obvious that Dax Monahan might well become involved with the sister of his recently deceased friend, Lance. He is surprised to learn that Regan Miles is sick and struggling to keep up with the cost of the treatments. When Dax sees Regan he is shocked how much she has grown up, after all to him she has always been the little sister. Dax is even more shocked when to help her out, he suggests they get married. I loved the dynamic between Dax and Regan he is an alpha and knows what he wants and goes after it. I was absolutely hooked on this book from the first to the last chapter and couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I loved the banter and humour as well. The emotions that were pulled out as I read this book had me in tears at times. Dax is a knight in shinning amour when he sweeps in to help Regan. Living together, even though it is platonic, emotions and feelings soon become involved. As Dax and Regan move from friends to lovers the journey they are on will open them up to a myriad of possibilities. I cannot wait for Tacker’s story as this series has gone from strength to strength.

Dax Monahan is an all around good guy. We've seen this with his interactions in the previous stories. But now he's taking good guy status to the extreme. We know he's an amazing hockey player and the Vengeance is in a position to do the unheard of for an expansion team. Yet he's talking a chance to lose focus to help his best friends like sister out. Losing Lance leaves Regan more than heart broken, she's is desperate need of help. When Dax finally gets her to open up here isn't prepared for the news she's dropped in his lap. Always one to act, he may be a little high handed, but he gets the results he wants marriage to his best friends little sister. We all know how well marriages of convenience end up... So much more than they bargain for.

Sawyer Bennett combines two of my favorite things; hockey and romance into a great story that I absolutely devoured in one sitting. Dax and Regan have known each other for years, she was his best friend's little sister and their families were close as close can be. So, Dax doesn't hesitate to step up when Regan needs help. He suggests they marry (strictly a paper wedding) so there’s no interruption in her very necessary expensive treatment for her rare life-threatening illness. Can two loving lifelong friends with benefits turn a marriage of convenience into a romantic happily ever after marriage?

Dax.... you knew he would fall hard once he found the right person. The only thing he did not know was the right person had been a part of his life forever. Regan, his best friends sister who he has lost contact with until he suddenly was killed is now back in his life, dealing with a life threatening medical condition and he quickly sees she needs him. Little does he know that she will fill a hole he never knew he had in his life. Falling in love with a friend, is sometimes the best thing, but there are always complications......

Dax Monahan is a hockey player for the Arizona Vengeance. Hockey is his life and he loves it. When his long time best friend dies, he gets reacquainted with his friends little sister, Regan Miles. Regan has not only just lost her brother, but she’s dealing with something monumental and doesn’t know what she’s going to do without her brothers help. When Dax finds out, he insists that they get married. What starts out as a marriage of convenience soon turns into so much more. I really enjoyed getting to see who Dax really was and thought Regan was an awesome female character. Now, I’m ready to get Tackers story! Ha ha. I’m pretty sure I’ve said that at the end of each Vengeance book.

This is Book 4 in the Arizona Vengeance Series and I enjoyed every moment of it. Dax and Reagan had known each other since kids. It happens that Reagan was Dax's best friend little sister. Then Reagan's brother dies and Dax tries to help Reagana as he promised his best friend. But what it was supposed to be only a nice friendship becomes something more and feelings get involved... THis is a sweet romance but with some heartwrenching moments...as always other characters appear that makes the story even more attractive... Highly enjoyable! Great read!!!!!

Regan Miles has suffered great loss in her short life. At 14, she lost both parents in a tragic car accident, then her brother was recently killed in a random mugging. She was also diagnosed with PNH, a life threatening disease that affects the red blood cells in your body. The treatment Regan requires is extremely costly, even with insurance. Her brother, Lance, went into debt paying for her treatments and education. After his death, she no longer had insurance. She was desperate... Dax Monahan lived and breathed hockey and the lifestyle it afforded him. His hockey team, The Arizona Vengeance, is on track to win the Stanley Cup. Even though all his friends have found their “true love”, it’s not for him. He enjoys being single too much. When he received word his best friend, Lance, had been killed he rushed to Regan’s side. The Regan he thought of like a sister, was no more. This Regan was GORGEOUS and in trouble. After several attempts to get her to open up, he finds out she has a life threatening disease. So he does what any Alpha man does. He demands she leave California, marry him and move to Arizona. Sawyer Bennett blends real world occurrences with romance effortlessly. This story brought me to tears, made me laugh, had me cheering for Dax and Regan, learning about PNH...all while wondering, aching for Tacker. I LOVE that Regan was able to break through Tacker’s emotional wall and get him to smile. I enjoyed Regan and Willow’s party crashing as well. I liked the simplicity of all that Regan encompassed. She’s real and relatable. Dax’s reaction to her crisis was so gut wrenching, frantic. I wanted him to ask Dominick for a ride on his plane. That way, he’d owe him and maybe have to help him win over Willow! I also loved that Sawyer was able to bring the hot topic of medical treatment and insurance into play without being too political. I can’t wait to dive into Tacker’s story! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

What can I say? Dax!! I have been a fan of this latest hockey series, the Arizona Vengeance by Sawyer Bennett from the very beginning. And in Dax, the 4th book in the series, Ms. Bennett has DEFINITELY kept the awesomeness of the series going. I WANT A DAX!!! I fell for him from the very first word. After the horrific murder of his best friend, Dax is worried about his little sister, Regan. He has cared about her for most of his life and has thought of her as his own little sister…. Well, maybe not “sister”, you see he has had a bit of a secret crush on her for years. When Dax finds out that Regan is in dire straights due to health issues and lack of insurance, he immediately basically forces Regan into marrying him. In name only. Right? There is only one problem to Dax’s solution, Regan also has had a secret crush on Dax and cannot figure out how to not have him see her as a little sister. So, Regan reluctantly agrees to Dax’s plan. OMG!!! The sexual tension!! You can cut it with a knife!! I really enjoyed seeing some of the other players and their significant others. And Tracker, I CANNOT WAIT TO READ HIS STORY. I loved every word of Regan and Dax’s story. I only have one complaint. In my opinion, it ended too soon. I got so sucked into the story I just wanted MORE!! But you know what, that is the proof of a good book. I was gifted with a copy of this book for my reading enjoyment, and I could not wait to tell you about this fabulous book. Thank you for reading my review. What are you waiting for? Go hit that purchase button and start reading this fabulous book. You will not be sorry.

Another great read in the Arizona Vengeance series! This one is getting serious again with a friends (like family) to lovers story that deals with loss and sickness. A marriage of convenience turns real and they aren't sure what to make of things. Really enjoyed the characters of Dax and Regan. I thought that they came across well and had some super hot moments too. Also enjoyed the look ahead to Tacker's story and the wee glimpse we had of him - I have a feeling that his is going to be great! The stories do kind of go in sequence but it can be read as a standalone as you get a brief rundown of previous events or even have them overlap a bit.

Lance Mile’s little sister Regan is NOT little by any means anymore .. taking care of Lance’s estate and herself isn’t easy being by your self. So when Dax Monaghan shows up to check in on Regan he know.. feels .. something is wrong. Not just her attitude, her demeanor and her looks just don’t sit well with Dax and he doesn’t let her off the hook. When he finds out that Regan has PNH he knows deep down in his heart what he HAS to do .. for his best friend Lance .. Can the biggest player on the team .. player of woman .. on the Arizona Vengeance buckle down and out his idea in play ?? Will true feelings come through that have ALWAYS been there .. just hidden because Regan is his best friends sister or will her sexy new body she grew into out his mind and heart in jeopardy ?? The energy, the heart and soul poured into these words will make you smile and cry at the same time !! Dax will capture you heart Way to bring all these players together !! Seeing everyone and what they are going through and still be able to play the game is loving !! Tacker I think is going to break everyone’s heart !!

Once again Sawyer Bennett found a way to hit all the emotions with this story. I laughed, cried, swooned, and cheered all while I learned something new. Dax stole my heart right from the start with his kindness and caring nature not to mention his incredible sexiness. Reagan was a great match for him and you know from the beginning that their crazy marriage of convenience plan is never going to work. Put this one on the must read list, I highly recommend it.

I am in love with this series! Sawyer always does such a great job with her storylines. But I’m really impressed with the health issues the heroine has to deal with. Bennett’s writing was flawless! I really can’t wait to see where she takes this series next!

This book was very personal for me. I do not have PNH, but I do have a chronic, life threatening disease, so I get how Regan feels. I get that she wants to have a normal life, or as normal as her disease allows. I get that people hover over her and drive her crazy. And I get when she feels like cr@p but doesn't want to worry anyone. I get the fear Dax feels. My husband has the same fear. I get the need to check on Regan constantly and worrying about her when he's not around. My husband calls and texts me constantly when either one of us is traveling. I love seeing Regan accept what God gave her and make the best of it. That is the philosophy I have. I can't change it, so I'm going to accept it and live my life to the fullest. But I also respect that there are days that aren't so good and you need to just take day to wallow. Whether it's about your disease, or something you want to do but can't, or you just don't feel good. We all have those days. I love seeing the strength she has and I hope to see more of her. Now, on to the love story. Although not conventional, it is nevertheless real. It started out as a marriage of convenience, but somewhere along the way it changed. Regan and Dax work well together. His family completely accepts her as is and supports her no matter what. And I love her interactions with Willow. I hope we will have more Willow in the future.

4.5 Stars Sawyer Bennett always delivers a well rounded story to her readers. Dax was a great friends to lovers story with a little bit of drama but filled with lots of love and compassion. I loved how the author tied in this story with previous stories and sorta gave a us a what's to come. While I loved the story and how it played out I was missing something to push the story into a 5 star read. I just wanted a little more wow factor to the story. But overall, I enjoyed the story. I thought it was well written and had a great flow. Being a hockey romance was a plus as I love a good sports romance. This is a story not to miss!

Loving that Dax is so sure and decisive. Almost cocky but not quite. He is just determined. And I'm also pleasantly surprised to read that Regan is really the one in charge and she is a great addition to the gang responsible for chipping away Tacker's walls. She is the one that is not in denial but not the only one that makes the hard decisions. When she saw herself alone, Dax was there without hesitation. Offering help because he really cared about her, was the best thing that happened to these characters. They are extremely strong and have a heart of gold. The more time they spend together the stronger their bond becomes. It is beautiful reading this story and seeing how this characters find a meaning in each others lives. And even in his confusion and resistance to settle down and accept deeper feelings towards Regan, Dax is sweet as candy. He is protective and attentive. A complete gentleman. A character that will make you proud. This story is romantic and a great addition to the series. Also making you love the little details shared of what comes next.

4.5☆ Dax was a great read! I've enjoyed him as a character from the start and was definitely excited to get his book. I felt for him with what happened in Legend and was curious as to how that was going to play out. I wasn't expecting the storyline to be what it was, but I really liked it. It was emotional, intriguing, and entertaining. Dax is a stand up guy. He doesn't even consider not helping Regan, he just steps up and does what he thinks is right. He can be stubborn but also persuasive. He's also really sweet and considerate. Regan's backstory was very interesting to me. I had never heard of PNH until now, and was surprised at some of the things I learned about it. She's been through a lot in her life and still has a lot of ups and downs in her future. She has a good outlook on things despite her condition and is such a strong woman. I love how she can easily go toe to toe with Dax and make him see reason. I love them as a couple and think they are very fitting for one another. Their journey throughout the book was not a typical one, and was trying at times, but they're strong characters and can pull through. I was happy to find out a little bit more about Tacker, I can't wait for his book, even though I'm expecting it to be quite emotional. I also enjoyed getting a look at Dominik and what his book may look like; I think that'll be an entertaining one!

Rating 4.5 Wow, Sawyer Bennett does it again with book 4 in the Arizona Vengeance series. Dax is a sexy alpha hockey player and Regan is a strong beautiful woman - who just happens to be his best friends, little sister. Now his best friend is gone and Regan is all alone and with her health in jeopardy Dax comes in to save the day - in the form of marriage no less. What started off as a marriage of convenience all of the sudden 1 drunken night becomes so much more. To say I love Ms. Bennett's hockey series is an understatement. She has weaved such an interesting world that each time a new book comes out I am aching to get my hands on it. Dax and Regan's story is fast paced with fantastic dialog and character development. We not only get to finally see their story the set up for Tacker's story is so good I am not sure I can wait. We also get to see more of the Vengeance team which is always fun. That all being said this is definitely Dax and Regan's story from beginning to end.

This is the fourth book in the Arizona Vengeance series but as each book covers a different couple this can be read on a stand alone basis. As with all the books in this series, I find it really easy to lose myself in the story. It flowed well, it was a nice easy read with just the right amount of drama and the story held my attention throughout. What I liked about this book in particular was the characters; Dax and Regan are characters that you just want to get behind and see them get their HEA. For some reason though, I just felt that the romance and chemistry side of things between them fell a little flat. All in all, though another enjoyable read and I'm really excited for Tacker's book. 3.5 stars I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.

The stories and the characters in this series just keep getting better and better. Not too much ice action in Dax, but plenty of behind the scenes moments with the team, and the management. Regan Miles is sister to deceased hockey player Lance, who was best friends with Dax. Lance’s murder is still in the forefront of both Dax and Regan’s mind, but when Dax discovers Lance has been keeping rather a big secret from him, he doesn’t begrudge him, he just steps up and takes his place in becoming Regan’s protector and saviour. A wonderful friends to lovers story with some truly heartfelt moments, wonderful writing and lovely characters. Dax is confident and sexy with just the right amount of alpha, Regan is independent and strong willed, but she’s not stupid, she knows when to accept help, and let’s face it, she needs all the help she can get. Luckily Dax is in a position to help, after all she is family. A little drama, a lot of romance and another hockey hunk leaves singledom. I can’t wait to see what else Sawyer has in store for us, I’m nowhere near finished with Arizona Vengeance. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

I just really love this series! Dax and Regan have a sweet friends to lovers romance. Regan’s older brother Lance was best friends with Dax since childhood so they’ve known each other forever. They come together as friends but things quickly progress and the love they feel for each other deepens. They have to work through some pretty major issues and fears but their shared history and friendship helps them out a lot. And can I just say that Dax has a little hint of dirty boy and I like it! One of my favorite parts of this series, is the sense of friendship and love between the team and their extended friends and family. Dax, Bishop, Legend, Erik, and even Tacker care so much about each other and they truly are a family. We met Dax’s family in this book and I have a feeling his sister Willow is going to be very important in the future. She is very interesting and I’m excited to see how that progresses. Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite authors and that because she does these series so well. With each book, I get more and more excited for the next one. You know each book will have a lot of heart, humor, and heat. 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars Dax is a sexy best friend's little sister/marriage of convenience romance. The story is book 4 in the series and runs along the same timeline as the previous book, Legend, but can be read as a stand alone. For maximum enjoyment though, I definitely recommend them since previous characters appear throughout the series. Dax and Regan had amazing chemistry and I really loved the progression of their friendship to more. They have known each other their whole lives and I think that added a sweetness to their connection that I don't always feel. Yes, there is push and pull between them as the lines get blurred, but I liked that there wasn't any unnecessary drama between them (or if there was, it was resolved quickly). I think what made this a less engaging read for me, was that it felt like this book spent just as much time on Dax and Regan as it did setting up the next books in the series. Don't get me wrong - I can't wait to read Tacker (I just want to hug this man so much!!) and Dominik's (YUM with a capital Y!) stories, but I felt like it took away too much of the spotlight from Dax and Regan. I did love seeing all the previous couples (Erik and Blue!) and characters as well as getting to know Willow, Dax's sister and the likely love interest of team owner Dominik Carlson. An enjoyable read overall and I'm excited to continue on with the series! *I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*

I have so many words to use to describe this latest delve into the world of the Arizona Vengeance Hockey team. Once again Sawyer has brought us characters that we can easily fall in love with and who we rally behind. Dax and Regan’s story is Sexy, Steamy, Sweet, Emotional and chock full of Heart!! I loved it! And I adore them! Dax is a true hero! I know she is his best friend’s little sister, but what he does for Regan is such an incredible thing and all sorts of heroic in my book!! I love friends to lovers and marriage of convenience stories so I was so excited that this would be both. I enjoyed watching these two amazing characters fall for each other in a deep and all consuming love kind of way, but at the same time lifting each other up to the best version of themselves!!
